Haven't changed over the decades as a reliable plug/jack connector. Smaller size is convenient when space is limited. I do recommend an appropriate crimp tool as it makes assembly easier and faster. And unless you're perfect, get an extraction tool for any misplaced pins.

What a waste of time and money!!!These things are awful!!! Cheap crap the pins don’t lock in properlyWhich means when you push connectors together you inadvertently pushOut the ones that didn’t lock.Beware not a quality connector. Look elsewhere.Update… after spending about 3 hours trying to use these pieces of garbage I cut them out of the circuit and hardwired everything.DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & $ LIKE I DID!!!!!

Plastic definitely not same quality as real Molex Mini-Fit. They fit between each other, but they are too tight when using them with a standard Molex connector. Wasted my time.

These are not real Molex brand connectors. Not as good quality, and navy blue in color not black.

Crimps clean a solid. Assembles and holds well. I only wish I could get Molex JST off Amazon.
