OEM parts is the best way to go! Motorcraft parts for my Ford worked very well, only took an hour to replace!

After noticing that my left rear shock was covered in oil and dirt I decided to replace the shock and strut mount (AD1115) at the top to hopefully resolve a clunking sound from the area. I purchased this item in "Used - Very Good" condition from Amazon Warehouse with the description "Small cosmetic imperfection on top, front or sides of item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." I received the item quickly but soon discovered that the lower bolt threads had been cross-threaded so the bolt would not go in straight. I had to rent a tap & die set from a local auto parts store to repair the damaged threads. The part is working fine and smoothed out the ride a bit.Amazon Confirmed Fit said that this part would not fit my 2013 Ford Fusion but it does fit just fine.

Direct replacement to original equipment. Don't waste your time with other brands like Monroe- you'll end up having to add washers to get everything snug.

Great shocks they are good as new on my 2014 ford fusion SE. I first went with another cheaper brand but the design was flawed and it made an annoying rattle I returned them and spent the little extra for these and am happy with the ride quality. The nuts on the bottom are pressed into the bar pin so it help make instillation a little bit easier. The only downfall with these are they do not come with the hardware for the top. I believe for the price the could at least throw in a nut.

To start I didn't buy these OE shocks. I bought Monroe shocks form my local parts store. I SHOULD BOUGHT THESE!! They were a better price as well. I paid more for the Monroe shocks. The Monroe shocks don't bolt up the same as the OE shocks. If you don't get the OE part you will need washers and lock washers and nuts. Now I've got to take my car apart and do it all over again. Just advice to anyone who is thinking about using something else. Good luck.

Installed the on a 2013 Ford fusion. Had noise from right rear. Couldn't find anything definitive so I shot from the hip. Upon disassembling, found upper mount nut had not been tightened correctly. Separated shock from the mount, transferring the insulator over to new part. Added blue lock tight to the threads (no new nut in the package) and reassembled.
