Overall, I am pleased with this helmet lock. It was very easy to install and using it is not cumbersome or complicated. It does its job well enough and that's to keep your helmet from walking away from your bike. It works very well for people who may be thieves of opportunity but if someone really wants to remove your helmet, they could easily break this lock open, I took a star off for that reason.

First off, the lock literally fell off mid ride so it was no longer usable, the hex screw came loose and the locking mechanism completely fell off the part that was mounted to the bike, which stayed put funnily enough. Secondly, the whole device is set up to be on the wrong side of the bike so if your exhaust is hot after riding and you lock your helmet and place and let it hang it will actually melt; so I had to install it upside down so I could place my helmet on the seat of the motorcycle. Not a great design. Get one the at will mount to the handlebars instead.

First on either side of the bike. Make sure the bolt holding the lock onto the mount is tight otherwise it’ll fly off on the road somewhere. Waste of money.
