It's very accurately constructed. I'm sure it works great as a Chevy thermostat housing gasket, but likewise sealed my difficult-to-seal 2010 WRX turbo to intercooler flange.

My old 72 Chevy 350 was having a hard time with small leaks out of the water outlet. I tried every gasket I could get my hands on but this one was the only gasket that makes a good seal. I'm sure the outlet I had was not perfectly flat but it should have been good enough, and it WAS good enough after I put this gasket on. I've since gone with a new thermostat housing but I still use these gaskets for piece of mind, I even re-used one that hasn't been on the motor long.

After trying every possible combination of paper gasket with rtv, gasgacinch, no rtv, new thermostat housing etc against both an old and new intake manifold, this is the FIRST gasket which didnt leak (no rtv with gasket) under pressure. Application was a 1990 (smaller water neck) small block Chrysler LA318. The thermostat dimension was the same, but the holes were too far apart. After drilling them out, it fit without issue. Mr gasket claims on their website that this gasket fits my engine so I assume this is what they had in mind. A little more work than cutting a paper gasket, but given it doesn't leak, it's a whole lot cheaper than an o-ring water neck.

The gasket worked well on my 67Camaro with a 327. I didn't want to use the paper gasket and wanted something more like a rubber gasket. I found this one and decided to try it. It worked well with no leaks.

I've been building performance and stock engines for over 40 years and this is a "jewel" of a product. Does the job waaaay better than paper gaskets. After a few high quality paper gaskets disintegrated and leaked, I decided to try the Mr. Gasket. A brand I respect for quality. Really does the job. Don't trust your expensive engine to a paper t'stat gasket. Use a Mr. Gasket.

no more gasket sealer or otherwise. just clean off the old gasket put this one in iit new place after you replace the thermostat and thats it. next time you have to remove the thermostat you just unbolt the housing and remove it. the reverse , no new supplies to buy, no gasket mess. takes me less than 5 minutes.

Used this on an '09 WRX to get rid of the flimsy o-ring from the factory. This fit perfectly. You may need to trin in inside of the silicone to match - I did not trim yet. I'm waiting for the impression if the I.C. and Turbo to form in the gasket to know exactly where to trim the inside silicone. I did buy 2 in case I screw it up...You can't go wrong with this and Prime shipping...
