Arrived as described and of the weight expected. The pewter melted down perfectly in my Hot Pot 2. It cooled well and made excellent ingots when I broke the bar down into smaller sizes. So far I have no complaints and will order again when I need more pewter.

Don’t like my order going to the wrong state

Used this to make a small little statue as a gift. Casted it in high temp rubber mold. Very smooth, and shiny outcome. No problems at all.

It feels great to have pewter as one of my metal collections. It feels soft and for 2lbs heavy as well. Great bar shape too, it looks like a real souvenir.

The pewter is fine, nothing wrong with it. My issue is, I paid for a 2 pound ingot and got one that is 1.73 oz shy. It looks like the corner has been shaved (see second picture). That may seem like a small issue but it's dishonest. I wonder how many people MS Metalshipper do this to? If I had ordered 50 of these I would have overpaid $71.50. Buyer beware.

I melted this with the HotPot and that only takes 10 minutes to melt. I use a spoon to pour it into my molds. If I have any throw away pieces, I just throw them back in to pot to melt. Then unplug and let it harden for next times use.

I doped mine with a little extra bismuth, but overall this pewter looks nice and holds detail well. The extra bismuth helps the material to swell a little more as it cools, pressing deeper into the nooks and crannies. After a little scrubbing with a brass brush, I painted them with black alcohol ink, and then used steel wool to remove most of the the paint. This pewter works well with Mold Max 60 and to melt it I find the HotPot2 to be a good, all-in-one crucible/ladle. Dust your mold with baby powder before pouring and keep in mind you'll likely have to remelt the first few until the mold gets nice and hot. If you're new to pewter casting, go look up some videos on YouTube for instructions on making 2-piece molds

Great product. I checked the weight for accuracy and it was spot on. I am happy with what I received
