Started using these in the Antarctic, the wide calf feature is outstanding. Boot kept feet warm while getting in and out of zodiac. Walked on icebergs, and on land with penguins, seals and birds, great traction on the soles in snow, water, rocks and mud.

If you have been searching for boots for wider calves, these are the ones! Go ahead and splurge on them. My husband loves them and has plenty of extra room.

These boots are fantastic. They are very comfortable right out of the box, and the wide calf feature is great. I have pretty large calves, and these boots fit over them and my pants very well. The strap at the top is easy to tighten after you slip them on. These boots also hold onto my feet well when walking in mud. I wear them in a wide range of temperatures and they have kept my feet warm, in snow and freezing temps, and not to hot in up to 70 degree weather.
