This cleat appears to be sturdy and offers a strong hold. It features a smooth, polished finish and includes an optional fairlead. The spring is quite stiff—perhaps more than necessary—which can make it a bit tricky to engage the line. I wouldn’t suggest using these on lines that need frequent adjustment, like a jib sheet, but they’re well-suited for more static applications, such as a halyard.

This is a really tight cleat and it's pretty hard to get a rope in to it. I ended up taking the spring out of one of the cams, and it's much more usable. It's cast and polished stainless for sure and looks great, but the springs are too hefty, and the plastic washers seem cheap. But it is cheap, so what should we expect?

Keeping the hooks under the flat pannel is kind of tricky. Even the pannel has little guide track for that hook though, it falls easily before screwing those against something. Otherwise, works good, and looks good.

I bought several of these and they work great. The stainless steel is nicely polished as shown in the picture. The Wire Flared Leading Ring is especially nice to have to corral the line.

I put this on my mainsail traveler. On a 30ft. boat. Very nice. I have paid more for boat parts, but didn't get much more. They do the job nicely. Will buy more when the need arrives.
