Strong drawer also can be used as a shelf. Provided screws were not compatible with my rack but the rack has its own screws i used.

Every rack mounted drawer seems to be ridiculously expensive, and this is definitely in the cheaper end. With that information, I expected it to be pretty low quality. I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't have foam inserts or any bells and whistles, but the lock works well, the construction is solid, and the drawer slides smoothly.There is nothing super special about this drawer, but if you want a good drawer at a good price, this should definitely be in the running.

Note this is only a 1U drawer so while it is long, it isn't deep.I won't even hold my laptop mouse, but it will hold my small BT keyboard.Can also use it to hold paperwork, spare patch cables, etc.I did have to lube the slides, do yourself a favor and do this BEFORE you install it.Otherwise very nice, just wish I had bought a 2U version instead.

At the time of purchase this product was marketed such that a keyboard tray could be one potential use case. However this product is neither deep enough or wide enough to support a standard US keyboard. As such I only give it 3 stars.

The description states, "Drawer only extends 7.65 Inches" but this isn't correct. When it comes from the factory, the slider sticks. If you coerce it slightly, you're able to open it fully.If the 7.65 inches information led you to avoid buying this product, I can assure you that you needn't worry. This drawer is perfect!

Ordered one of these for the rack I’m building. Ended up having to get a replacement for the first one because it was extremely hard to open and close and wouldn’t even close completely. The replacement that I got at least closes but is still hard to open and close. I have used other drawers from NavePoint without this issue but it seems all of these 1U drawers are very poor quality at least for the slides. I am now returning the 1U to find one from another manufacturer. Would not recommend buying.

It's absolutely true that the drawer does not pull out all the way. It seems to pull out a little more than half way, but I haven't measured it. This isn't a deal breaker for me. I can push things back in there and pull them out pretty easy. Depends on what you're going to put in there. Be warned that this is a shelf is not deep at all. Things have to be less than 1U thin to fit in the drawer. Overall satisfied given the limitations of the drawer. It has "punch-outs" in the back of the drawer. I removed one so I can feed the charging end of a battery charger into the drawer, which then plugs into a very thin battery charger.
