A decent remote button . . . comfortable, nice looking.Comes with a small screw driver for replacing the button battery, and that whole affair is really clumsy and unnecessary . . . . and more importantly, an invitation to lose little bits and pieces . . . so, bad choice there.Activation button/trigger is dead centre on unit, with a small witness light to the left of it.On the description page, there is a bit of confusing information. There is a photo with four insets showing compatible handles, one of them erroneously being labelled a PA005e, which it is not, and whilst the description maintains this unit is compatible with a PA005e . . . it is not, does not fit, never will. Mind you, the PA005e already has a remote button . . . nonetheless, the information is sloppy. The button can be used as a freestanding piece also, if you choose . . . kind of pointless though. For the price, it is a decent option if you have one of the base handles without remote . . . before you order one though . . . check and double check to be sure that it will function with your gear.

This worked for 3 days while filming and photos, but then the battery died. I replaced it with the one that came in box. Tested it had full charge, but this Bluetooth release failed to work. The battery had full charge.

I've had many of these type wireless triggers. This one is a cut above. Very nappy with it.NEEWER makes great stuff and they seem to refrain from just slapping their logo on garbage from AliExpress like a lot of equipment companies do on Amazon. This triiger is no different.

This is a great addition to the side handle for Neewer’s phone cages. The button is easy to use. It requires a light amount of pressure to trigger. Enough to trigger it quickly but also not so little that I trigger it accidentally. It is super responsive and any action has no delay.Stays on for a while before shutting off.It slips on easily to the newer side handles.Very pleased. Really good upgrade compared to the side handle without it.

If you are a big family video maker and use your phone a lot, this is a must have gadget. It fits my neewer hand grip and connects easily to my phone via Bluetooth. It uses a coin battery, so you don not have to worry about running out of power. Plus, you can remove it from the hand grip and use it like a remote to take pictures.

purchased the NEEWER Cold Shoe Cover for my PA045E Bluetooth Shutter Side Handle Grip because I wanted a more stable way to take photos and videos on my iPhone without relying on the on-screen shutter button. Having a physical button reduces the risk of camera shake and makes it easier to snap photos when using my phone in a rig or mount. The cover fits perfectly with no movement or looseness once installed, and it pairs seamlessly with the iPhone using Bluetooth. The build quality is solid, especially for an ABS + PC plastic accessory, and the physical button feels responsive. When not in the camera app, pressing the button adjusts the volume, as it’s mapped to the iPhone’s volume down function, which doubles as a shutter button in the camera app. This straightforward approach works well, and the setup has been flawless for my needs so far.One downside is that it uses a cell battery, which cannot be recharged. I haven’t had it long enough to judge the battery life, but it’s something to keep in mind, as the battery will eventually need replacing. I've only tested this with an iPhone, so I can’t speak to compatibility with other devices, but it has worked exactly as expected. I'd recommend it to photographers or videographers who prefer a physical shutter button when using a camera rig or case, especially if they want to avoid reaching for an on-screen button.Pros:Secure, perfect fit with no movementGood quality materials and solid buildEasy Bluetooth pairing and setupCons:Uses a non-rechargeable cell battery that will need replacing

This fit great, had all of the pieces required to get it working, and just worked. You can't ask for more. But, if I were to ask for moreI'm a bit bummed that this uses a button-cell battery. I know cost is an issue with this, but what if this dies when I'm in the middle of a shoot? I've gotta buy more button-cell batteries and keep them just in case. Long winded way of saying I wish this came with usb-c charging.
