This is a pretty decent night. Overall it's not very sturdy. Lots of adjustments need to be made. But it does serve the purpose.

MR Portable Professional Volleyball Net is a new style of net that has a freestanding metal base and tent poles to hold up a volleyball net. This net is purely for practice and not regulation width for competition play as other net set I have that was double the price. Nevertheless having regulation height net provides very good practice for serving, bumping, setting and spiking. The MR set has a bend in the middle of the frame to provide rigidity versus other brands that have curved frame rails on the 2 ends. That is why this set is bit of a tripping hazard since the middle of the metal frame sticks 3-4" above ground level. To control the net height, this set uses a cross pin to raise the tent poles to 8ft for men's net height. While without the cross pin, the pole is lowered to 7'4" net height for women's net height. The net uses the same attachment notch at the top of the tent pole. This is a nice design as the net doesn't need any adjustment. The only bad thing is the cross pin is a bit loose and easy to be pulled out.The poles are super sized fiberglass tent poles but without any shock cords in the middle. The poles are spread at an angle. The net has a slotted sleeve each side to slide into the top pole with a notch to hold the top strap of the net into place. This provides the constant pressure to hold the net up. That's a pretty innovative design to maintain constant net tension without any winch system or guy ropes. A hard jump serve straight into the net won't topple the net. The net will wobble and the poles wiggle, but the net stays taut after the punishment. There are 6 sandbags to hold the frame down or U stakes to press into the ground to hold the frame upright. But we don't use either. What I don't understand is there are 4 short multicolored Velcro strips to attach to the top of the net, when there is already a very visible orange top strap. Perhaps these are for targeted ball placement. But on a 14" net, that's not necessary. So I attached the colored strips to the bottom of the net so the bottom of the net is visible for proper reference especially when digging for a low ball close to the net.The other ingenious design of this net set is the push pins to rotate the side feet on both ends and on the middle frame sections to extend or retract the metal frame to full width. This makes for fast setup without needing additional assembling or disassembling of frame rail segments. The frame is heavy welded steel to provide enough weight to stay put on the ground. This net set is great for use on artificial turf, which is why I got this set to use in our new fake grass yard. This is not rocket science to setup this net. If you've ever pitched a tent, you know how to setup this net. The only stopping point that needed a fix was the pole attachment on one side was dented and I had to use a large wrench socket and some pounding with a mallet to remove the dent on the frame so the round tent pole can be inserted.Overall this is a great set to setup quickly anywhere for instance volleyball practice.

This is a pretty neat net to have on hand. It is portable and doesn’t take up much space when you have it disassembled. Assembly isn’t too bad but it can be time consuming, but you can take this anywhere. Ir seems to hold up pretty well if the ground is flat but you may need to bring some weights or something to hold it down if there is wind, just to be on the safe side.

The net is really cool because you can take it down and take it with you. We usually have it in our backyard but can easily also take it down and bring it to the park. It's easy to assemble.

I like that the posts for this are metal/fiberglass and not made from PVC pipe like other ones that I have gotten in the past, it really adds more stability to the net so there is no worrying about the posts snapping whenever a ball or someone hits it too hard. I really like the fact that there are no cords for steaking it to the ground, so my dog isn't always running into it and ripping them out. It's still very sturdy and extremely easy to set up or take down I like that it came with a bag to store and transport it in especially since it's not extremely heavy. Overall, this is a very good net for family for or if you are looking for something to practice on.
