Work as advertised. My WiFi speed has improved significantly going from an average 150mbps on my phone and 220 on my sons ps5 now with this I get 500gbps on my phone and my son get 928 on his ps5. That’s on the finite xfigateway we pay for gig speed. I just ordered a new modem to add to it. I used to rely on a xfi router and 2 boosters so I could get signal past my garage to my camper and it easily does. I originally started with using the satellites over wifi but ended up connecting it all with Ethernet because I already have cat 8 ran. With this set up I’m not using the same high speed wifi network across my entire property instead of switching between router and boosters. Unlike with boosters where ur speed decreases due to being extended with this it’s mesh so you continue to get the full capability of internet that you would on the actual router as you do on the satellites

I have been truly amazed by my three unit, Orbi RBK763S system. Setup was super easy, I just turned off the Wi-Fi in my cable modem’s router and plugged in the Orbi - other than giving it a network name and password it configured itself and the two satellites auto connected. The main unit and each of the satellites are separated by about 50 feet each in a straight line as my home is very long and narrow as is my large yard, and I now have super fast Wi-Fi throughout the entire place. Even at the corners of my property I can pull over 200Mbps so the coverage is outstanding. I always pick a very secure password, which is a good thing because I’ve been in the neighbor’s yards surrounding mine and even inside their home I was still able to connect and get sufficient bandwidth to run a speed test. If you’re looking for easy, efficient setup and a signal that will blow the doors off, this is definitely the system for you. The app was easy to use; others have mentioned the negative aspect of having to pay for a subscription for parental controls or their special security app, but I don’t use either option so the basic app does more than what I need for setup and configuration. Definitely a great value for the money; I actually got this as an Amazon Renewed item, but having seen how powerful this is, I would not hesitate to pay full price if I needed another system in another location.

While hardware may be ok the software and service that surround it are terrible. The app is laggy and slow. One second it makes you log in the other it suddenly remembers your login info. Very slow in accessing your lists. Satellites decide to deactivate once in a random while so you always have to check on them since there is no warnings set in the app notifications. Rebooting the router is somewhat of a chore since takes about 15-20 minutes to so so. Then loom out for attached devices since some of them may not reconnect automatically. Netgear is in business to sell you services and not hardware. All they care about is subscriptions for various services and extra layers of protection and for some reason incessant offers for newer hardware. I am not in business of collecting routers. Parental controls, which by the way is also a subscription, are a joke. They offer a rather basic web monitoring. The setting that allows you to control total time selected devices will have internet access is misleading. It simply does not work. When I tried to discuss the issue with support the person simply disappeared. Overall this is a rather poor setup for something that is a rather expensive piece of hardware.

I am very disappointed in this Orbi product. Returning...I had planned to upgrade from my Orbi RBR50, which functions fine, but has older WiFi. I have three satellites (needed at prior house), but only needed one satellite at this house.First, the setup through the app is hard, if not impossible for anyone wanting anything but the static configuration, 192.168.1.1 I had to call Tech Support.To access the configurtion page on a computer or browser, yo9u must use Incognito mode or whatever your browser calls it.Once setup, I had horrible results. I now needed two satellites. The latency on each WiFi attached device was long, but on speed testing, it didn't show as long latency, so not sure what the issue is otehr than it was definitey occurring. We suddenly got 504 Gateway errors and simple 'cannot reach site' errors. We'd never had those and I had to look it up. Clearing caches and history did not help.I had not reset my old RBR50, so after 2 days, I just switched back to my old router. Everything returned to normal.
