This is an N-channel mosfet and works as such. It doesn't quite match the specifications for the IRL520N, but it's good enough for me.It gets quite hot and needs a little more voltage to turn on than the spec sheet would imply, but it works ok if you leave a good margin.

I will say right off that these do not conform to the datasheet. They do, however, work for my low voltage electronics hobbyist use. These are logic level mosfets, but the Gate-Source threshold is not within spec. I tested all of my pack and their G-S threshold all tested from 2.1v to 2.4v, whereas it is supposed to be from 1v min to 2v max. This really doesn't create an issue for me since my lowest requirement is 3.3v for ESP8266, or ESP32, and up to 5v if i am using an Arduino for the project. So, the point is they will all work but be aware if you need spec requirement or something is critical.I am not sure if these are genuine chips or not, or if they are maybe manufacturers rejects. They look glossy, so not sanded. I haven't destroyed one yet to check the die, but if i do i will post pics.I think most people on here will just want them for small projects where they will work fine, so i only took off a couple of stars, for failing datasheet spec.
