Fit my 2001 GMC 2500 even though on Amazon it said it wouldn’t. Parts are interchangeable with Sierra trucks so if your looking for one for your GMC then this is the one. Exact part replacement

Fairly easy to install. I needed to swap the pins from the old cylinder to match my ignition key, which was not a problem. It would have been nice if the individual pins were stamped with the pin number like the original pins so some of the new pins could be used as the old ones had a bit of wear. Regardless works well.

Went to install the thumbler and it fell apart after trying to clip it into the door handle lesson learned just buy oem

The only thing is the door rod adapter is on the light side. If possible reuse original. The fit in the door handle is a snug fit install a small amount of lubricant as to not crack the plastic.

I bought this because some thieves tried to steal my truck. They broke the door lock on my driver's side. I took it to a locksmith and had it re-keyed to my original key. It works great no issues so far. It fit my 2004 Silverado perfectly.
