Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Purchased for a trip where I wanted to use my phone’s navigation. Worked excellent, great reception most places.Did not come with a SIM key, so had to scrounge up a paper clip.

I followed the instructions on the packaging and it worked. I am not the most technical minded person. So this was a pleasant surprise.

Initially I would have given this product a 3/5 because as soon as we put in the SIM we had voice and text but no data. We talked tech support and they had us try a few things but none of them worked. Tech support then directed us to one of their retail stores for assistance. We swapped SIMs but that didn't work either and then they added an APN and then we had voice, text and data. This SIM card worked great for us during our 9-day visit to New Zealand in November 2024. The included instructions were fairly clear and straightforward. The product name on Amazon currently advertises "Vodafone Data Sim Card w/Unlimited Minutes" but that's not quite accurate. What we got was a prepaid SIM card for use with the One NZ network (one of New Zealand's largest mobile phone networks), including 40 GB of data usage, unlimited call minutes and texts within New Zealand, 200 outgoing text messages, and 200 outgoing international call minutes to standard numbers in the following countries only: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, UK, USA, Netherlands, Taiwan and Thailand. The mobile number assigned to the SIM card can be found printed on the back of the flat cardboard holder in the envelope you'll receive. This is the phone number you can give folks to reach you at during your stay in NZ, and the one your contacts will see on their caller ID when you call / text them from NZ.While we were on the plane to New Zealand, I removed my AT&T SIM card from my unlocked iPhone (don't forget to bring along a paperclip to poke into your phone's little hole to eject the SIM card tray, and a place to safely store your own SIM card from home), and I installed this SIM card in its place. All three physical sizes of SIM card are available in this package -- nano, micro, or mini -- by popping the card out from its surrounding plastic in one of three ways to match the SIM size used by your phone. Some dexterity and care is necessary to complete the physical installation, especially if you do it on the plane. (Don't want to lose anything on the floor of the plane.)As soon as we arrived in the Auckland airport, I followed the rest of the included instructions, taking my phone out of airplane mode and calling 777 to activate the SIM (you can't do this step before arriving in New Zealand), and downloading the One NZ app to my iPhone (using the Auckland airport's free WiFi network) to quickly create an account with which I could monitor my remaining call minutes, data usage and text message usage. 200 minutes of outgoing phone calls, 200 text messages, and 40 gigabytes of data usage are included with this package. All of which was quite a bit more than we ended up needing to use during our 9-day stay in New Zealand. My cell phone's reception was fine in / near all the cities and larger towns we visited on the North Island, from Auckland all the way down to Wellington, and in most of the smaller towns and tourist destinations. On the roads through a few of the unpopulated areas between towns, the reception became more patchy: sometimes we had full bars, and sometimes there was no service for a few miles. The further south we drove on the North Island past Rotorua / Waitomo, the more frequently we had periods of no coverage in the unpopulated areas, until we approached Wellington at the southernmost end of the island, at which point we had consistent coverage again.Overall, I'd say this was the perfect SIM card to allow us to stay in touch during our New Zealand stay without having to pay exorbitant roaming fees to AT&T.

Easy to install, but don’t forget your paperclip to open up the sim drawer, if necessary. This cellular service is the same one they use locally, Works very well easy to setup, Instant access to phone and data. More expensive at the airport. Worth the purchase.

This was incredibly easy to set up, and I had no issues. I traveled around the South Island for about 3 weeks with my phone as my GPS and did not even come close to half of my data limit. I had excellent service most places (obviously if you’re somewhere very remote, you likely won’t have service). It was also nice having a New Zealand phone number and not just a data SIM.

Great price. The 40 GB SIM costs $69 on the New Zealand Vodafone website so definitely a great deal. Real easy to activate the SIM card. No problems with phone calls, however, I had issues with text messages. Never bothered to try and figure out the issue with texts because it wasn't really required during my trip.

I bought this for my upcoming trip to NZ but card could not be activated while in the US. Instructions on packaging doesn't work. After spending many wasted hours with the One NZ support person, their best advice was to visit their store, a little hard for me to do half a world away! Argh! $40 wasted.

When travelling in New Zealand, this SIM was by far, the best purchase.Activation was easy (calling a number) and you are good to roam throughout the north and south islands! There were few low reception areas in the country but those were rare.I was able to use maps, stream music, watch videos, and barely dented the 40 gigs in 3 weeks. This is also cheaper and you can avoid the line ups at the airport.
