Works properly. It was extremely good value for the price paid and 1/10 of the dealer price. May get an airlock in the system that needs to be bled but overall very good.

started leaking coolant after about a month where the 2 metal solenoids attach to the black plastic body. Noticed today.... 2 days past the return date. Buyer beware that quality control is not very good or the product is a bad reproduction of the OE Design.

I work on BMWs all the time and mine start showing telltale signs of bad heater valve. warm on driver side, cold on passenger side. I usually order my parts from fcpeuro for the lifetime warranty but i couldn’t wait a week for the part (happened on a weekend) so I went to amazon, found the cheapest one with the fastest shipping (less than 30 for next day ship, can’t beat that) it looked exactly the same. I’ve changed this part on other cars so i knew it was the same even though Amazon’s compatibility list said it wouldn’t work. Product came next day and installed without a hitch. identical to my old bmw part. Ac now blows cold no problems.

Works very well. BMW V8, M 62, and 62 TU engines. Was very skeptical at first, and yes it definitely replaces the original BMW one that costs Very much more. Couple tips on replacing: Buy hose clamps at a place like Harbor Freight - there are three coolant lines. Use a hose removal tool, it looks like a large pic, the size of a screwdriver, and has a dull point on the end at a right angle. Use a hairdryer or a heat gun on very low setting to warm up the electrical connection and the hoses, this makes all much easier to remove. Heater valve lifts straight up for removal, no screws.Note, your original valve may have had a auxiliary pump motor on the bottom. This one does not have an auxiliary pump. Your reserve heat while the engine is off, If you have that feature, will not work. It may help to loosen up the power steering reservoir to gain better access.

I was having fits trying to get my AC cooler duct temp.Found out it was my heater control valve.(Autopsy showed a torn Diaphragm)BMW wanted 200, no thanks.This unit is working perfectly.

Installed in 10 minutes after removing the airbox. Recommend buying three cheap hose clamps so no radiator fluid is lost. Wonderful to be able to turn the heat off again.

Perfect fit for my 2002 BMW 530i. The part is well made and performs excellently. Easy to install, at least by BMW standards.
