The file works fine on aluminum, brass, and copper. It does not fit my needs for cutting teeth on rip, crosscut, tenon and dovetail saws.

Ive been using this taper file for various metal projects and I couldn't be happier. It cuts, smooths and shapes, the handle grips well. I highly recommend this file!! especially for the price.
