This review is for the "Tyute: Night Light, Portable Egg Night Light, Baby Night Lamp with 7 Color Changing and Dimming Functions, Rechargeable, Infinite Dimming Function".To start, let me say that I like these little light so much, that I order 3 of them! The are smaller in size, but powerful in providing bright light and it's battery operated so it still works when/if the power goes out. Also, it's portable. We took them on a recent cruise to light the bathrooms at night. The battery recharges quickly using a USB C type cable, same as my phone, so we already had one on hand. The battery life is pretty good too. It is very useful and effective! Easy to use and functions just as you'd expect. The lighting gives you 3 options: White light, warm light (we prefer this one) or a cascade of colors. The price here is $29.99, which is actually $5 more than several other Amazon vendors. For only this reason, I took off one star.

This cordless LED colour-changing light is versatile and practical, perfect for a child’s bedroom or a sensory room where its calming effects can shine. The gentle colour-changing cycle, with each hue lasting 3-4 seconds before smoothly transitioning, creates a soothing ambience. The light is steady, with no flickering. It’s user-friendly and intuitive. A switch on the base powers it on, and a single button toggles between three modes: colour-changing, warm white, and soft yellow. To adjust the brightness of the white or yellow light, simply place your hand on the top for seamless control. And to choose a colour you like, simply place your hand on the top of the light while it's on the colour you want. Place your hand onto the light to activate the colour changing function again. There is also a timer function if you're planning to use it in a child's bedroom at night.

LOVE this. Bought for the nursery to use at night and it’s been a game changer. The only thing I would change is that the dimming would work with the colored lights too. Unfortunately it only works on the white light and warm lighting. It holds a charge for a good amount of time so you can move it where you need it and don’t have to keep it plugged in.

This light is so handy to keep by the bed for nighttime feedings. It stays charged for a very long time, the light puts off great, and it’s easy to operate!

There are two buttons and a USB-C charging port on the bottom surface of the light base. There is also an invisible button on the top of the light. Long pressing the power button once turns on/off the light. There are 3 lighting mode--white (6500K), yellow (2700K), and color changing mode. Once on, the light will start with white light. Successive short pressing of the power button will cycle the lighting mode from white to yellow to color changing mode. In white light and yellow light mode, the brightness can be adjusted by long pressing the invisible button on the top of the light. In color changing mode, a single touch of the invisible button at the top of the light will start the cycling of the 256 different colors. During color cycling, a single touch of the invisible button will pause and un-pause the cycling of colors. When the light is in any of the 3 mode, it can be turned off/on by double pressing the invisible button at the top. When double pressing the invisible button to turn off the light, this put the light in standby mode. Standby mode is special because in this mode, the light can be turned on/off readily and easily by touching the invisible button twice, without the need to long press the power button on the bottom of the base. Also, in standby mode, the night light mode can be activated by long pressing the invisible button. There is an indicator light on the base of the light. It will display a blue color light when battery is above 20%, and red color light when battery level is below 20%. When being charged, the indicator light will flash red, and will turn blue when battery level is full. When light is in standby mode, the indicator light will breath (5 seconds on, 2.5 seconds off) so its location can be seen in the dark. The indicator light will also blink twice when max/min brightness is reached. The shell of the light is somewhat soft to the touch and slightly gives with presses. Because the battery capacity is small (2000mAH), this light is most useful as a night light next to the bed in standby mode. Because the shell is milky white, the light is not blinding and serves well as a night light. The battery duration in brightest mode is 6 hours, which would require frequent charging if using in the brightest mode as a work light. Also the light does not have a stand to elevate it and make it useful as a work light. On the brightest light mode, this night light provides good background lighting because of its softness on the eyes. If only the light was equipped with a giant battery, it would also be good as a background light.

Unlike the current trend for soft, silicone rechargeable nightlights, this one has a hard dome with a nice, even frosted finish that smooths and evens out the light very effectively,. Other than the double-touch to power on and power off, the touches that change colour and mode are often applied slowly making it feel like it has not detected your touch. As a result it all feels a little vague and imprecise and you can easily overshoot the setting you wanted thinking it has ignored the touch.Light can be left on constantly or you can set a one-hour timer. There are eight colour presets and stepless brightness accessed with a long-touch. The light boasts eye-care so I assume it's a flicker-free light. The white light is warm white only which is fine. There's no cool white option which most people won't miss given its intended use. There's a claimed 16 hour runtime from a fully charged battery but that must be at the very dimmest setting because I'm getting closer to 8 hours currently. LED output is 1.5 watts which is plenty.A simple but effective night light, great for home, travel and camping though perhaps a little bulky in the suitcase despite its compact dimensions.

I really like this little nightlight. It cycles through a great range of colours: you can have each colour as pale or intense as you like, so it's really flexible as a mood light. You could create quite an effect with several! It feels pretty responsive to fingertip taps to switch on and off, or fix a colour in place, and it's handy that it stores the latest setting. The light is pleasant to touch, and is a comfortable size and shape to hold.Having the option of cool or warm white light is also useful, as is the 1 hour timer, which worked as it should when I tried it.I like having portable lights that don't need to be run off the mains, as these are useful in a power cut - as long as you remember to keep it charged, of course! The indicator light is very small, but I find it easy enough to see. It turns green when the 1 hour timer has been set.A small user manual is included, along with a quick reference card, and a USB-C charging cable.Overall, I am very pleased with it indeed.

This is a good night light. Personally, I use it to add a bit of ambience to the room using the different colour options. As I am settling down to watch TV on an evening I can decide what colour I want the room to be and then set the night light accordingly. It gives off a good level of light to create this ambience which is what a good night light does so don't expect it to light up the room or allow you to be able to do any complex or detailed tasks. The light level is adjustable but all settings are in a dimmer night light range as you would expect.I would say the price is about right for this product. If you shop around you could get a night light cheaper but not by much. The biggest draw back to this product is that it can be quite complex to use. Don't get me wrong, it's not overly complex however I find myself having to refer to the instructions quite a lot. It has a "tap the top" kind of button that you can press and hold for functions too. It is definitely one to set to how you want it then don't mess with it... and keep the instructions near by as a reminder. With the instructions to hand though, this is a great little night light.

Overall this is a nice light, but I don't know if it's going to work for what I had in mind. I like the option of having bright white light, warm light, or colors, and I like that you can have the colors cycling through your option or you can choose one. But it was really hard to stop the colors from changing at exactly the shade I wanted. Also I wish there was an option to dim the color light like you can with the white or warm light. It's nice that you can control the light by tapping on it. And it's nice that it will stay lit when being charged. The instructions do say to unplug the charger after the light is fully charged, so don't expect to keep it plugged in all the time. Also, they say to only use the usb to usbc charging cable. (I assume usbc to usbc may be too overpowered.)The touch button on top responds well the first time you tap it, but you do have to wait a bit between taps. Like if you're cycling between colors and miss the one you want, you can't just tap again right away to get it to resume the cycle.Downsides - cat fur likes the silicon. The dimmest setting is a bit too bright in my opinion. And the light goes straight up and doesn't illuminate below it very well, so my nightstand drawers were in darkness unlike when I use my nightstand lamp I was wanting to replace with this night light. (Picture is night light on a stand on my dresser, not my nightstand.) But to be fair to the light, it's designed to be a night light and not a lamp. I'm going to see if I can find another use for it because I do like it.

My husband has dementia and gets very confused when he wakes up at night. This light has meant he can see his way to the loo without waking me up. Fantastic!
