Una leyenda musical irlandesa. Su carrera en solitario és interesante. Pues fué líder de su banda.

This album starts off with a great opener and then ebbs and flows through emotional exposures that Dolores somehow found the strength to reveal in an intimate way. "Fly Through" is her masterpiece. During this entire album she is sultry and yet very vulnerable. Whatever she was going through during that period of her life, she captured those feelings in the recordings on this album. I would recommend this album to any Cranberries fan or anyone interested in Dolores's vocal style and music writing abilities. She was a gem and her beauty was conveyed in her art.

Only discovered this album recently, and I love it! These new songs all have something special, and even though it's not the entire Cranberries band, it's Dolores O'Riordan, and it's definitely a must have for fans.It was delivered as expected, as described by seller, no issues there. I recommend.

"No Baggage" is Dolores O'Riordan's second studio album and was released in 2009. Compared to her previous record, "Are You Listening", this album has a more refined sound as well as elegant arrangements. The lyrics are even more intimate and personal, it suffices to quote the dramatic opening track "Switch Off The Moment" or the following one, the powerful and energetic "Skeleton", which reminds the listener of "October", a vibrant rock song featured in Dolores's debut solo album. After that, we get to the sweetness of "It's You", where Dolores sings about how she feels safe and better, presumably thanks to her significant other, to whom the song is dedicated. The following song is the lead single "The Journey", an up-beat track with a catchy chorus whose arrangement radiates positive vibes. Also, the lyrics convey a message of hope. "Stupid" is a soft and melancholic elegy where Dolores' voice gets emphatically used (the word "stupid" in particular, which she repeats frantically) to grasp someone's attention; "Be Careful" is the following track, featuring a dark and gloomy opening which shortly thereafter explodes in a vibrating chorus, highlighting how powerful, dramatic and epic Dolores' voice is. The "journey" goes on with "Apple of my Eye", which featured in "Are You Listening" as well. Both the melody and the lyrics of this song are warm, slow-paced and melancholic. "Throw your Arms around me" has an opening intro which sounds like an exotic tribal chant. The lyrics are self-explanatory: Dolores delivers another very personal song featuring very intimate lyrics. "Fly Through" is one of the gems of the album: the result is poetic to say the least and the music is harmoniously arranged. The tenth track of the album is "Lunatic", an intense, sweet, soft, highly dramatic and slow-paced piano-ballad: it's impossible not to be touched by its lyrical intensity. The next song is "Tranquilizer", confirming once again how intimate and personal the lyrics of this work are ("I'm not prepared, I'm running scared"). The music is simply superb and the track can be considered as one of the many pearls of this precious and beautiful record. The closing track of the album is the evoking and soul-soothing "Ecstasy", bringing the listener to another state of mind: Dolores' voice is delicate and hypnotizing at the same time, enhanced by a sweet melody which sounds like a reassuring lullaby. To sum it up, a "must have" and not only for Dolores O'Riordan's fans!

It's sad that she is no longer with us. This album was very good. Like all of her songs, it seemed very personal.

I am in love with the singing style and songwriting skill of Dolores O'Riordan. I love her work fronting The Cranberries. Here solo albums are a little weaker than her Cranberries work, but they are still a delight. Her Irish brogue and her breathy singing style, infused with what is usually described as "yodeling" (there must be a more appropriate word for the Irish technique) characterize this unique singer-songwriter. Her themes are emotional and universal. Dolores O'Riordan is a treasure. I often fall asleep to her beautiful, haunting voice.

I highly suggest that you pick this up if you like The Cranberries and/or Dolores O'Riordan's past works. I would say this is a better album than "Are You Listening?". Some of the best songs are Fly Through and Switch Off the Moment, but I think the whole album is well rounded and consistent with almost no filler.

I am a big fan of The Cranberries (Dolores O'Riordan's band) and I was desperate for some more of their music. I found out Dolores had solo albums so I thought I would give this one a try. This album sounds very much like a Cranberries album, but it also still has a unique quality about it. I love her unique voice. There are some really great songs on this album (Stupid, Apple of My Eye, The Journey, Tranquilizer). Apple of My Eye is my favorite and also my husband's. The other songs are decent but don't stand out to me the way those four do.

EXCELENTE !

I don't own this CD. I'm luckier than most in that I saw the Cranberries in Toronto last weekend and they did some tunes off of this album. I'm without a doubt one up on any of you who have not seen this tour. To say that the show was great would be so much of an understatement it wouldn't be fair. I've never seen such an amazing show in my entire life and I'm talking about Pink Floyd in '88, The Who in '82, Rush Moving Pictures, The Clash in '82, Elvis Costello.......everything that I thought was great was all of a sudden thrown into the back seat. Spend the money while Dolores's voice is still absolutely perfect. The entire band is so talented, it's awe inspiring.
