This is great for cooking crispy bacon without messy frying. Because of the size, it fits perfectly in my smaller model microwave. The fat collects in the ridges and I just poor it off. It's also easy to clean with a stubby. I always cover the bacon with a plastic microwave cover or a piece of paper towel to avoid grease splatter while cooking.

I have one of these I've had for 20 years and to be honest, use it for cooking fish, fries etc... anything in the microwave. They're not just for bacon. I buy frozen fries and rather than heat them up in the oven which takes too darn long, I throw them on this tray and venting under the ridges seems to help them cook evenly (takes 3 mins on high (1100 watt microwave). I even put pizza on it... 90 seconds and done. Jacket potatoes too... Anyway, my old one is so old and used, I decided it was time to replace. New one is an exact copy of the old one. It is exactly the same size, manufacturing marks on the back in exactly the same place etc. Time to throw the old one out.Highly recommend for lots more than just bacon....

Product less sturdy in No size and plastic material therefor prolonged cooking time hence less crispy bacon

I should have been more careful to read the size specifications. The tray is too small for a strip of bacon to fit. You have to cut the strips in half and do additional cookings. Still it works well.

I owned one of these for years till I broke it accidentally. I purchased a new one & one with a lid to use in a new microwave. They work great to defrost my soy products before cooking. They are made extremely well & are worth every penny. Easy to wash & store.
