Peeler is great. Haven't used the mincer yet.

I really wanted a garlic mincer that wasn't metal, so I ordered this. Unfortunately, neither the mincer or peeler worked for me. The mincer simply smashed the garlic and most of it didn't fall into the base. I ended up having to use a knife to scrape up the bits inside. I am returning it.

First off, the garlic peeler works OK. And the garlic mincer is attractive. But it is all plastic, and as such does not mince the garlic, so much as smash it. If this had stainless blades that actually cut the garlic bulbs, it would be good. But it relies upon squared off plastic "blades" which just make a mess. Much easier to continue to use the flat of my chef's knife with a bit of salt, and less cleanup. I kept the peeler and tossed the mincer.
