Der Tester kam sicher verpackt an und war zusätzlich noch in einer Tragetasche geschützt. Neben dem Hauptgerät sind auch noch diverse Kabel und ein Gegenstück für BNC und RJ45 im Lieferumfang. Ebenso wird auch noch ein Messstab mitgeliefert, mit dem z.B. Kabelbrüche gesucht werden können.Das Display des Gerätes ist beleuchtet und zeigt die verschiedenen Testmodi verständlich und gut lesbar dar.Ich habe den Tester bisher nur für RJ45 Netzwerkkabel verwendet und damit funktioniert es super. Es kann geprüft werden, ob die Kabel korrekt belegt sind, welche Länge sie haben und ob alle Adern ankommen. Die Portflash Funktion ist in der Theorie praktisch, kann aber bei einem voll Belegten, aktiven Switch schwer zu sehen sein.Für den Heimgebrauch oder für das Schnelle identifizieren von Fehlern in Netzwerken kann ich den NF-308S gut empfehlen.

This is probably best suited to a semi-professional or home environment. It has great functionality and is very easy to use. The build quality is, however, a bit on the cheap side and it probably wouldn't take the abuse of constant daily use (and drops).It is a great kit that includes everything needed to get started, even the batteries! The menu is very simple to use and seems to work without any trouble. I tested it on the included cable, which was a success, and then on a cable I know was bad, and it told me exactly where the problem was.I am happy to have this in my arsenal of home tools and will certainly put it to good use as I continue to wire my house for ethernet.

I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only review items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I recently installed a security camera system. The cameras used POE CAT 5 cables to connect to the recorder. Because of the long runs through walls and wanting to drill smaller holes, I could not use the pre-terminated CAT5 cables that came with the system and had to cut the ends off the cables and reattach new network connectors.I used network cable tester and tracker throughout the installation. Once I ran the cables and terminated them, I tested to make sure the crip on connectors had good conductivity and were properly wired. All of these cables ran from different parts of the building to one central location for the DVR I needed to know what cable was for what camera. Because I didn’t think about it until I was halfway through the job I used this to trace a few of the cables so they could be labeled.Overall, this tool was a lifesaver. Though I am sure I did not use it to the full potential, I am very glad I had it and the tasks I ask of it were performed flawlessly.As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. Yes, I would buy this tool, and if you are doing any kind of wiring with network cable you need this tool too.

Der Netzwerkkabel Tester ist ein zuverlässiges Werkzeug zur Prüfung der Kontinuität von Netzwerkkabeln (CAT5, CAT6) und Ethernet Verbindungen. Mit der Möglichkeit sowohl RJ45- als auch RJ11-Stecker zu testen, bietet er eine ziemlich genau Überprüfung der Kabellängen und der Leitungsintegrität. Die Handhabung ist einfach und das Gerät ist besonders nützlich für die Fehlersuche und Installation von Netzwerken. Die Testergebnisse sind klar ablesbar und das Gerät ist robust genug für den Einsatz im semi professionellen Bereich.Damit lassen sich Fehler schnell und einfach eingrenzen so wie Leitungen finden.

I've previously tried the basic Noyafa NF-468S Network cable tester and was pleased with the results. Now time for an upgrade to this NF-308 Network Cable Tester and Wire Tracer Kit. I would like to start with that if you're comparing the Noyafa NF-308S to a Fluke, TREND Networks, or Klein tester, you'll be sorely disappointed. I would compare it to the quality of another well-known budget brand, TrendNet. Apparently Noyafa does have higher end testers but that may be a review for another day.The Noyafa NF-308S like the NF-468S feels very cheap to tell you the truth. Cheap lightweight plastic. Can't really recommend this for a professional that will be using testing equipment on a daily basis. Another small issue was that measuring cable lengths would come up a little sporadic. One pair would come up shorter than the other pairs. When testing the same cable on a Fluke, all the pairs would measure the same length. Other than that, the measurement was fairly consistent with the Fluke. Take away and biases towards the bigger brands and you'll be surprised with the how well it works.The network tester itself seems to work well for the most part. The cable continuity testing was just fine. What really surprised me was how well the toner and probe worked. It was easy to trace wires back to the switch and single out the particular cable. We have other testers that tones back just fine, but the signal is so strong that the tone will start blaring without even touching any of the cables. The Noyafa didn't have that issue, and the included earbuds made it even easier by enhancing the sound of the tone. The included light on the probe also helps with visibility when looking through a million wires all bunched together in a comm rack.I didn't test some of the other functions like testing COAX cables, port flashing, and polarity testing. That may be a later update to this review.If you need a basic cable tester and probe, the Noyafa NF-308S should be on your short list. You can a lot of bang for your buck for $50. A toner probe from the major brands will cost more than double that. Tester can run over $1000.

This testing device does exactly what it claims, with good accuracy. Note that at this price, don't expect a signal tester, just continuity.I used it to identify and test poorly labeled cables at an old installation, and it did everything I needed.Either locally using 2 connectors on the main unit, or connecting one end with the remote unit, it effectively maps RJ45 cables, showing you how they're wired and connected at each end, and identifying mis-wiring and missing connections. It also detects the ground for shielded cables.When attached to the far end of a cable that's connected to a hub/switch, it can flash the port to identify where the cable is plugged in. With the sending module, you can identify where a cable is connected to a patch panel.Connecting it to one end of a cable and putting it in Scan mode, you can use the included wand to identify the other end of the cable. As you pass the probe over the cable, the wand will emit a pulsing tone.You can also check the length of a cable by just plugging one end into the device. I found it to be within 3% accurate on cables I tested up to 100 ft. It can be calibrated with a known length of cable, so it can probably do better. This feature can also be used to identify breaks in the cable, as it shows a value for each pair.With the included alligator clip cable, it can also test DC voltage up to 60V.If you want to test coax cables, it includes BNC connectors, not the F-type threaded connectors used in CATV applications. But adapters are readily available.The package comes with the main device, a sending unit, and the wand, plus an alligator clip cable for voltage, a short RJ45 patch cable, earbuds to optionally use with the wand, 2 9V batteries, and a carrying case with a shoulder strap that fits everything.Downside: The documentation is not good. You'll need a lot of trial and error to figure out which ports to use and how to connect things. But... the company does have some YouTube videos showing how to use their products, which can be helpful.5 stars for functionality and value, but it could lose one for documentation.

Als Vine-Rezensent habe ich dieses Produkt „kostenfrei“ erhalten. Dies hat jedoch keinerlei Auswirkung auf diese Review. Das Produkt wird von mir bewertet, als ob ich es selbst hätte erwerben müssen.Zunächst fällt die robuste Verarbeitung positiv auf. Das leuchtend rote Gehäuse macht das Gerät auch in dunklen Serverräumen gut sichtbar. Der große LCD-Bildschirm ist kontrastreich und selbst bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen gut ablesbar. In der Praxis schätze ich besonders die vielseitigen Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Ob CAT5, CAT6, oder Koaxial- das NF-308S erkennt zuverlässig Kabelbrüche, Kurzschlüsse und Fehlverdrahtungen. Die Kabellängenmessung funktioniert präzise und hilft mir oft bei der Fehlersuche in komplexen Netzwerkinstallationen. Ein echtes Highlight ist die Live-Wire-Tracking-Funktion. Mit dem mitgelieferten Empfänger kann ich Kabel selbst durch Wände hindurch verfolgen. Das spart enorm Zeit bei der Fehlersuche in bestehenden Installationen. Die Bedienung gestaltet sich intuitiv. Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung navigiert man flott durch die Menüs. Die automatische Abschaltfunktion verhindert, dass sich die Batterien vorzeitig entladen.
