This assembly lasts about 2 years for me. Everything says to clean them out but I've never had any luck with that. So, I just buy a new assembly and swap it out. Takes like 2 minutes maybe. Works great to fix the ole ... not drawing from brine tank problem. My only gripe would be the price. I think the assembly is honestly worth about $25.

My salt brine was overfilling and being discharged out the overflow tube. The gasket inside this valve had become distorted and needed to be replaced. This assembly was a quick fix and included everything needed. The entire repair took 5 min. to swap out and now works great. It was nice to get the entire assembly and not worry about rebuilding the old part.

This has been a bit of a journey to understand. The problem was unit was flooding. As you can see in the 1st pic - pretty bad off. Replaced with new unit. A couple of pointsIn the 3rd pic - the siphon tube is very stiff and hard to get seated properly. I had to take the valve off, put on the siphon tube then put unit onto the body. Worked very well that way.2nd - after studying - float was way off manual specs - see 2nd picture. Can't say why, but adjusted the height as in the picture.We are off and running again.

Liked the product and it replaces the filter I needed for my WHirlpool softener. Pricing is good and have purchased and made a second replacement. Very good part replacement
