Light appears well built. The distance between the holes used to mount the faceplate are a bit too wide and will require you file or dremel them out a bit to allow for you to use the included mounting screws (I tried on three separate round metallic outdoor weatherproof boxes and none of them fit before this modification). Interesting to note in the image provided for this listing only one of the mounting screws is used.

It’s surprisingly hard to find this style of floodlight anymore. Full protective coverage over the bulb and the ability to articulate the assembly and aim the light are super cool features. I also bought a can of UV-resistant clear coat to protect the paint, it should hopefully last a really long time. Keep doing what you’re doing, Nuvo!

The flood light had a defective gasket. I contacted the vendor and they promptly sent me a replacement gasket. Great service! The fixture is sturdy and will last outdoors. It was easy to install and looks attractive. Aiming adjustment worked well.

I've nothing bad to say! I'm using these indoors for my grow light bulbs. I struggled to find a fixture that was adjustable and these adjust in all directions. Perfect for what I needed.

Used outside to illuminate my deck and bbq and also my patio. Used par38 LED dimmable bulbs and installed a dimmer. Great for lighting up backyard.

The delivery was timely. The build is solid. Had to replace the included electrical box screws with longer ones. Would have been nice if the screw heads throughout were painted white to match the fixture.I am using this fixture indoors on my white ceiling for my PAR38 grow light. Plants have plenty of light now for the winter! Was able to rotate the fixture to point to my plants but it wasn't exactly tight. Using gravity to keep it in the right direction. If I have to change direction again I can use a broom stick to redirect it from below.Works well so far but for $47, it is a bit pricey for such a simple fixture.

Thick aluminum, good up and down motion and a good retention screw. Porcelain socket. When pointing the lamp up outdoors it might fill with rainwater so I drilled a small hole to drain it. Great light fixture

Didn’t think it would be so hard to find a flood light that:1. Isn’t Built-In LED (So you don't have to replace the whole fixture if/when it fails, most aren’t dimmable, etc.)2. Doesn’t have motion detection3. Is attractive, modern looking and “basic” - nothing too fancy after all it’s a floodlight4. High quality, durable metal finish5. Weatherproof / Wet Rated (live in Florida, even if it’s covered the elements can be unforgiving)This one ticks the boxes. Happy to pay a bit more for what I want, and with the addition of the LED lights and the weatherproof outlet box I purchased it was around the same price of a lot of the integrated LED options I was looking at.Was additionally happy to see easily understandable instructions and an exploded diagram clearly written by someone with a good command of the English language, high quality hardware, and unexpectedly high fit and finish.For me, totally worth it.Best end result after evaluating a handful of the far-east gray brand lighting options.

Double light with no motion detector. Put on garage, open to the elements. Use it with a remote light switch from the house. Good coverage of bulbs to protect from rain/snow. Installed myself in about 15 minutes. Made of bronze coloured metal. All required parts included. Would recommend.

I bought one of these (in white) to check out quality before buying 5 more that I need. Overall, construction seems good - all metal and appears sturdy. Only time will tell how well the paint will last in southern Florida's humidity. So far I am giving this product 3 stars even though it probably deserves 4, because I encountered several of the same problems other reviews (some a year old) mention, and the manufacturer continues to not correct:1) There is no mounting plate included to attach to the electrical box, so you have to either use the old one or get one independently.2) The screw holes for attaching the light base to a mounting plate are too far apart to connect to a standard box mounting plate (the distance should be 2.75 inches) - it turns out there are "punch-outs" on the light base for the correct size, but the wider ones were drilled out by the manufacturer instead. So you have to drill out the alternate set yourself, but now are left with the two original holes which have to be plugged with silicone or something similar to not let water and moisture in.3) The center of the base plate has a large screw hole opening and the screw plug that is supplied to fit into it is bare metal - not white as it should be, so you either have to paint it or have a silver metal circle in the middle of the light base.It seems the manufacturer should care to make the easy fixes on an otherwise decent quality Chinese product.

I have given this 1 star so that this review will stand out.It is difficult to find the shielded bulb style light fixtures. Home Depot did carry one that was too short on the shield and the screws tore out on the locking mechanism. That required being bolted all the way through to use it.The Nuvo is made from heavy weight aluminum and for some bulbs does provide a side shield that prevents stray glare from the side edge of the bulb. This is important for my application because I am lighting a cabin community that has the houses close to the road. I need to light the road for walking but be able to direct the light without sending sideways glare into the cabins.The Nuvo apparently had an initial design that would have allowed an extension to be added because there is a lock screw that is installed and operable. I have some times clamped an extension around the outside to meet my needs. I wish the extension was available.THE BADThe screw attachment that threads the light into the top cover of an outdoor light fixture is NOT the standard size of what all the other covers are made to accept. The Nuvo was made for. a different cover all together. It almost strips out from the mounting threads on a standard cover. The standard locking rings are so loose that if you tap them to lock a setting--- they jump the threads and loosen up. This make it impossible to really set the positioning in a strong manner.THE GOODI bought three of these sets because that was all that I could get at a reasonable cost. I bought one and then two setsTwo of the three came with only the lights. This created the above described situation.The third set came with the top cover for the outdoor box and included locking rings. The top cover and the locking rings are a prefect match for the odd sized screw in base on the light.With the custom base included the problem is solved. My success rate for these so far has been a 66% failure rate. Hopefully all of these sets now will ship with the base included like the picture shows.
