On the Superfreak 5x4mm Boots, Fluid Seam Weld and Foxing NEW application ensures that the boots will remain 100 percent sealed. The seams are double "blindstitched" partially through the surface and triple "glued" to create a watertight seam that will not unravel even if the thread breaks. The Foxing NEW is a thin rubber applied to the seams for added watertight seal, the soles for traction, and to the body of the boot in place of support straps for a low-drag molded fit.

About O'Neill
Sometime around 1952, Jack O'Neill opened the first surf shop in a garage across the Great Highway. He shaped a few balsa surfboards and sold accessories like paraffin wax and few vests (glued together from neoprene). When the vests started selling, Jack decided to go into the wetsuit business. His friends laughed. They asked him what he planned to do for business after the handful of surfers in the area had bought one. Jack said he'd cross that bridge when he got to it.

These are some comfortable split-toed shoes. The only problem is, like with all neoprene, getting them off. I would like to have a side zipper on these and for them to be a little taller. Say mid-calf? The reason for the extra height is that when I tried to swim with these on they kept catching water and trying to roll down. Being a little taller they would hug the calve a better.
