Received this within a day of ordering with Amazon Prime. Great mophead! Although some do not like that this is not as full as they'd wish, the size is geared more for those who mop the home and may not be quite as strong & can't or don't want to manage a heavy, water laden mop. I've used both. There is a perfect trick that helps to ring out this mop to make it even more effective & as dry as you'd like, if that is your wish. It is this:First of all, do NOT use a bucket, but rather, use the SINK to rinse the mop. Just rinse & squeeze the mop with it's cover as directed- do NOT fill sink with water, just let the clean water run on mophead. To remove excess water, this is the trick: Stand mop in sink on its head (the corner of the sink works especially well!), and, holding the handle, press firmly DOWN. This forces the mophead DOWN (covered with its plastic wringer cover) which squeezes even more water out, thereby giving a much better wringing out without using your hands! If you use this method, you can also spray whatever floor cleaner directly on portions of the floor as you go (dilute fairly well so as to not leave streaky residue). OR, for a great shine, glass- type cleaners work well- either with or without antibacterial action. And, if you are like me, and the floor isn't too bad, just using extra hot water works fine most of the time! This method also keeps mophead fairly clean (avoids dirty mop water) can save water, if you don't leave it running, and makes a quick mopping easy. Good luck, and you are welcome, O Cedar! By the way, I have used and still have a similar Libman mop, and I prefer the O Cedar (which used to be Vileda, I believe?) because the plastic wring cover is easier to manage, and does not make such a "clacking " racquet while mopping.Good luck to all of you moppers, and try to be fully present even in your cleaning chores!

This really works. I've always used a sponge mop, Swiffer, or gotten down on my knees (well, used to when I used to be able to do the knee thing) and scrubbed but I'm getting too old to do this anymore and I was not satisfied with the job the Swiffer or the sponge mop did. My bathroom floor tile is not even so the tile that were slightly lower then the adjacent ones didn't get clean with the other mops. Friend told me to use this type of mop so I went out and bought a 0-Cedar at my local hardware store. They however, didn't have ther replacement mop head so I bought some through Amazon (thank God for Amazon). It does a spectacular job of cleaning all my floors, including the hardwood ones. I like the little scrubbies intermixed in the "hairs". The mop itself does a really good job or wringing out the mop head so my hardwoods don't get sopping wet. I even can mop the baseboard tile and the lower part of the toilet (bending has also become hard to do for me). The one thing I'd like improved on the mop itself (not on these refills) is some way to make the wringer part stay up further so I could utilize the entire mop head while mopping, and so when I've rinse it and hung it to dry, the entire mop head could be exposed to the air. As it is the wringer sort of slides down from gravity and covers part of the mop head. Minro but if O-Cedar is looking for improvement suggestions....

I have been using the OCedar mop for a few years. I really like it when used with the "OCedar Quick-Wring Bucket" and "FHP-LP 55004 Pro Wring Wet Mop" (which I did not purchase on Amazon, but is available here). A very efficient system for wet mopping. I also like that the mop top has little "scrubber" areas that can be used to scrape away spots or sticky drops on the floor while you are mopping. I also like that you can also throw the mop head into the washer if it gets particularly nasty, but I don't really know how many washes it will last through -- I've only done it a couple of times, Note: The OCedar mop & bucket mentioned here are the same items that may be labeled as "Vileda Pro Wring Mop and Vileda Bucket". I figure Vileda items were licensed to or purchased by OCedar. Mine are labeled "Vileda" and everything works well together.

This is one of the best mops & refills around. The mop is a twist wring action which works pretty well. I usually give it a light hand wring after I have used the twist action of the mop. I find that as the mop refills starts to wear they do not wring as well (they are not as bulky) and leave in a little too much water when mopping my handwood floors. This extends the life of the refill as they mop just as well, just don't wring as dry.I recommend that you either swiffer or vacuum your floors before using this mop. At my house with kids, husband and pets if I mop without sweeping first I pick up way to much debris (especially pet hair) and have to continually change my water. I do not use any harsh chemicals with my mop - only 1/4 Cup white vinegar to 1-gallon of water. This works great on wood floors. I can't say how long the mop will last with chemical use but I generally get 4-6 months of once a week mopping out of these refills. Also I usually throw the refill in my washer after 2-3 mopping uses. Do not put in dryer, hang dry with strands hanging down.Amazon.com was the last place I was able to find these refills so I got 6! Seems like every time I find a mop I like the manufacturer makes a change and I have to start all over again finding a mop I like.Happy Mopping!!

I wanted the mop refill pictured, but what I received was not like the photo. I specially ordered these refils because I wanted the ones with the heavy-duty tops (looks like leatherette or heavy blue vinyl). The mop heads wear at the top of the strands from being wrung out so much, and the heavy-duty top would keep the mop head from becoming frayed in that area. I was disappointed that what I received was just the regular mop heads with the same fiber strips all the way to the top. I could have bought those locally. I have since found the ones with the heavy-duty tops at Target, so I will be buying them there in the future.
