Used this as a clutch safety switch in the car. Car was starting even in gears without clutch depressed, as it had no safety switch. Now it starts only if the clutch pedal is depressed. I survived once from an accidental start, don't wanna take any more chance. Quality is very good too.

the switch fits well used it on a 1989 Ford Cougar to get rid of the stupid ford one . yes i had to make a bracket but now the brakelights work every time.

Fit and finish are good. The plunger is stiff. Stiffer than the normal XJ plunger so take that in to account if using it for non-OEM application. I was using this for another car and my pedals wouldn't depress it without a return spring on the arm.
