This is a fine pattern. I’ve been stitching for 40 years, and I had no issues with it per se. However, as with most scanned patterns, the actual stitched version is not as dark/vivid as the original. I’ve attached a screenshot of the version as advertised, and a version I just finished.NOTE: They recommend 14ct/2 threads. However, I used 22ct/ 1 thread as I prefer a finer stitch. I also did not stitch in the white border they recommended (since I sewed it on white) and I added French knots on the owl’s eyes. If you want a higher contrast/darker background, you’ll need to replace 838 with a darker brown. All in, it’s a great pattern...just wish they had adjusted the color saturation before finalizing, as the near black background would have been better.
