As old age creeps up on you, there is a growing need for companionship if hou find yourdelf somewhat lonely. Yoyu could be married and lonely. Your kids flew the coop years ago, but raeley return toi say hello. I had rea about the new animaic pets (petz) and decide to see if they could be found on Amazon, for as we know, if you can't find what you are looking for on Amazon, more than likely it has not been made, discovered, marketed, etc. Speak to Jeff B. on that. The petz Pug I orderd was the perfect fit for me. He only breathes, but that's good enough for me. Sometimes that's all I do...with a meal in between, a walk in between, and some bathroom duties to take care of. But Mysty (my petz Pug) ject lies in her crib with one eye clsed and I think one eye open looking at me. Thanks Mysty, that's all I wanted as I lumber through my 8th decade. However, to balace he review, the promo stated Mysty came wiuth an off-on switch. Yikes...! Someone pulled the switch on her. Instead, to initiate breathing, one had to pull a flimsy sliver of red ribbon from between the battey and the positive terminal. Ahhh....no paddles needed here...just a firm tug on the ribbon.Does Jeff B. know that Mysty Petz had her switch pulled? Will others notice this? Is the battery provided a lifelong one? And finally, whose battery will flicker out sooner? Mine or Mysty"s.Al Putz on behalf of Mysty Petz, the animatic Pug.

My pug is cute. I brought him for my adult self because I collect reborn dolls and wanted a reborn dog. He breaths but don’t make any other sounds. I think there are other that snore. He was smaller than I expected. He is the size of a puppy. He takes a D battery.

I bought this for my granddaughters 8th birthday and she's absolutely thrilled with it. It's very life like and makes a soft snoring sound. Comes with a bed, collar, grooming brush and adoption certificate. Well worth the money and seeing my granddaughters little face light up was priceless.

Bought this pug Perfect Petzz puppy for my mother-in-law, who lives in a nursing home. She suffers slight dementia, but her mind is mostly intact even if her memory and comprehension don't always keep up. I wanted a gift that would bring her happy thoughts and warm fuzzies. She has plenty of bathrobes, slippers & toiletries already. She can't hear at all, so that eliminates audio equipment. Visual electronics would be stolen or too complicated for her to operate. (I'm working on a photo album/scrapbook, but it's not ready to gift yet.) Clothing gets lost in the laundry, even if it's marked with her name. We keep her supplied, anyway, of course - but that's not a "warm fuzzy" Christmas gift. What to do????? I searched "Christmas gifts for nursing home patients" and this was the first thing that popped up. PERFECT. It is actually PERFECT for her. She was a bit confused when unwrapping it (a toy?!? seriously?!?) but when I activated the battery and placed it in front of her on its little bed, her expression changed. I had to place her hand on its back before she understood that it's "breathing". She looked up at me with an expression of wonder. After that, she sat there and petted and stroked it for several minutes. I don't know yet where it's been placed in her room, but I hope Dad thought to put it on the bed or in a place where she can see and touch it frequently. She used to have a Pug that she loved. That dog hated everyone else (feeling was mutual), but it never left her side until it died a few years ago. I hope it brings her happy memories of that d**n dog. The practical side: Body of the pet is hard, not squeezable or cuddly, but has very soft fur and you can feel and hear the 'breathing' movement. It is VERY lifelike in the facial appearance, eyes, nose, and even the parts of its feet that show. It's small - for this breed, appears to be the size of a pug puppy about 6 months old. Came in a pet carrier box, with a dog bed, small fur brush, and already included a "D" cell battery. It also had a laughable "Certificate of Adoption" with clearly mis-translated text: "Made of quality oranic [sic] virgin silicone vinyl, and […] raw materials." LOL right. But that's okay. She loves it, it works as advertised, arrived quickly, and that's all that matters to me.
