One of the best things I've bought on Amazon!!! I think so. My cat thinks so!! The fleas hate it!!!!I never realized how many fleas were on my cat before I got this. I would wash her and see like maybe ten or so fleas come off and thought I was doing a good job...but this thing showed me their real numbers!!! It was well over 300!! I feel awful for being so dumb and not realizing what was going on.What I do is I sit on the floor with a bowl of water and the comb, I set her on a box in front of me, then comb through her hair. As the fleas get trapped in the comb, I pick them off and drop them in the water. Then flush the fleas down the toilet. She is so flea-free now and right after I got so many off of her, I totally noticed a change. It was like she was thinking "Is this for real??!! No fleas crawling and biting all over me?!!!"Also, the ends of the teeth are a sturdy metal that doesn't bend at all, and are rounded off so they don't stab or scratch. Possibly stainless steel, I am not sure. And the handle is a surprisingly hard plastic. Like I would have to swing a hammer down on it from above my shoulder to break it. I definitely see this thing lasting for years. Probably my whole life so long as it is keep clean.I tried it a bit on my 2.5 foot tall dog (at the shoulders), but his hair was too thick...this is only meant for cats.

Very effective. It played a crucial role in getting the fleas off my cats and out of my apartment!

The best shaped design I've used, but teeth can get a little bent. Overall, very good product.

This item is perfect for cleaning the crusty area around my Yorkie's eyes. I'm happy with this purchase but, to preserve the structure of the fine wires, I wish it came with a container to keep it in.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this cat flea comb. I know it seems a bit overboard to have such strong emotions about a flea comb, but I honestly just can't seem to help myself. As a household with 5 lovely fluffy kitties, this year has been exceptionally bad as far as fleas in our home and I was starting to get a bit desperate until I purchased this comb.First of all, it is extremely well made. The metal prongs are spaced closely enough that they can trap any fleas and are strong enough that they do not bend when you are running the comb through the cats fur. I have had problems in the past with plastic combs where the teeth would bend when pressure was applied, therefore releasing the fleas back on to the cat, which was completely pointless and a tremendous waste of time. With the strong mental teeth on this comb, I have not had to worry about this even once. The comb also has a nice ergonomic design where the handle is curved so that it fits in my hand perfectly and I can grip it easily without worrying about it slipping out of my grip. The comb is comfortable to hold, and my hand doesn't get tired of gripping it, even after combing through the fur of all 5 cats everyday.Using this comb daily combined with a good quality topical flea medication (I recommend Advantage II) has completely taken care of the flea problem in my household. All of my cats are happily purring away and 100% flea free!

The ergonomic feature of this comb was good, but found that the teeth were just too far apart (and too long) to be effective in combing out fleas for my cat who has short hair. Might work better on a long haired cat.

The plastic melted when it encountered Adam's Flea spray. The shape is excellent and the teeth are good for cats. Before the meltdown, was able to capture at least a dozen fleas.

Works as expected, caught a good amount of fleas. I recommend putting a little soap on the comb when trying to catch fleas. While it did catch one or two without soap, some were jumping off the comb so I added some soap and that helped.

It's an inexpensive flea comb and works as it should, just don't care much for the type of handle, I like a regular handle better. This one will serve as a back up if needed.
