54 of 56 pieces made it in my order. My order was dirty and looked pre used.

Wished blocks had a more refined finish, like a gloss coating to avoid splinters after continuous use. The Wooden blocks are all even size and length, that’s great.

Good quality, nice carry case, would have been nice ,like the original set, if there were some plastic pieces to align the set up to be perfectly straight upon start if each game, it find its much harder to get a completely perfect structure using just hands.

The size provided factors in the maximum size the tower can be built with only one or two blocks per row - it is only about 2' high normally. I would say this is a "medium" tower...not a large tower

I was expecting something along the lines of giant Jenga. This is not that big. The description says “Grows to over 4 feet tall” but you have to really thin out the bottom blocks to get it that high. The blocks are a bit rough and give you the feeling like you might get a splinter. There is a storage bag, but I haven’t figured out how to get the blocks to fit in there nicely yet.

Let’s be honest, making your own large Jenga game is not extremely difficult if you are the least bit handy. I was excited for ordering it on Amazon and that came back to bite me in the butt. This is not a jumbo by any stretch. The set is about the size of a case of beer. I might describe it as a large set. Some of the blocks have a logo etched in them and some do not. The wood is unfinished, and if used on wet grass will eventually turn colors. I could have made this set for cheaper at my local hardware store, but I wouldn’t have gotten the cool bag.

If you’re in the market for a game of balance and tension but want to save some cash, the Bolaball Large Timber Tower is a great alternative to other brands of “large stacking blocks” games. This version of the classic offers a similar experience but with a few quirks that come with its more budget-friendly price tag.Pros:Affordable Fun: Bolaball Large Timber Tower is priced significantly lower than most of the big-name brand versions. For those on a tight budget, it provides a great opportunity to enjoy the thrill of stacking and toppling without breaking the bank.Size and Durability: The blocks are generously sized, making them easier to handle for younger players and those with larger hands. The wood quality is decent, and while it might not be as smooth as the original, it still holds up well for casual play.Gameplay: The core gameplay remains intact. You’ll still get the same excitement as you carefully remove blocks from the tower and try to place them on top without causing the whole structure to collapse. The challenge is as engaging as ever.Storage bag: Blocks fit inside the travel bag for easy transport.Cons:Inconsistent Quality: One minor drawback is the inconsistent quality of the blocks. Thankfully, this only occurred within a few blocks. They were slightly warped/had rough edges, which can affect the overall smoothness of the game. This inconsistency can lead to a less satisfying experience compared to the classic version. The bulk of the blocks were fine.Wobbly blocks: The blocks tend to fit together a bit more loosely than in the original game. This can make the tower more unstable and unpredictable – however, for us, it just added an extra layer of challenge to the game.Overall:Bolaball Large Timber Tower is a commendable alternative that delivers on the fundamental elements of the classic game. While it may lack some of the refined quality and precision of its more expensive counterpart, it offers plenty of fun for a fraction of the cost. It’s a solid choice for casual play or for those looking to add a bit of excitement to family game nights without spending a lot of money.

Bolaball's large timber tower - they probably can't legally call it Jenga - is a great pickup for outdoor gaming.Speaking of outdoors, that is probably where you will want to be the first time you open it, as mine had a not-insignificant amount of loose sawdust in the box.The set is a nice middle ground between the traditional Jenga tabletop set and the ones made out of 2x4s. Each block is 1"x2"x6", which matches the dimensions listed on the product page, but unless you are doing something very wonky you are not getting this tower to the 4' listed as the tower measurement - it starts out at 19" (1.58'), so even doubling the height of the tower doesn't get you close to 4'.Some of the blocks are inconsistent from the others, whether by being noticeably heavier or rougher. All seem to have consistent edging. They fit together looser than I'm used to, which makes removing blocks easier but the tower overall less stable.Overall, a few nitpicks aside, this is a good set for outdoor play.
