Park Tool LRT-2 Lockring Tool for Shimano Steps E-Bike Front Chainrings

Precisely machined for a perfect fit, the Park Tool LRT-2 removes and installs the 16-notch 54mm OD lockring that retains front chainrings found on Shimano STEPS electric bicycle motor systems, including the following models: E6100, E7000, E8000 and E9000. The LRT-2 features 36mm hex fittings for use with the Park Tool TWB-36 Crow Foot and a torque wrench (each available separately) to achieve proper torque. The heat treated and plated 4140 steel construction ensures durability and long life.

Great tool but it absolutely DOES NOT fit the lockring on my Shimano EP801. The tool was way too big. If you have calipers, measure the outside diameter of the lockring, if it's 41 mm with 16 grooves, this is the wrong tool (I suspect you'll need lrt-4).

This tool is needed for removing the chain ring lock nut on EP8 motors. Service or replacement of the chain ring is impossible without the tool.

Works on my Thok e-bike With Shimano motor.I think is too expensive for what it is but it does the job. i don’t usually take the bike apart so I will probably never use it again

I have an Orbea Rise and needed to take off the chainring to take out the motor and replace the dropper post. This is exactly what I needed and glad I didn’t have to spend $80 on the stock Shimano gear on eBay.
