I can not imagine anyone using these on a food product. The chemical smell was overwhelming when I opened the package. Very strong and very ominous smell, I did keep them and wash them several times and aired them out and use them for paper crafts. But, I really think whatever that smell was, can't be healthy. This cured me of purchasing off brand stencils.

I bought these for clay earrings and they are great, however a little difficult to clean with acrylic paint.

Only 4 stencils were still in their original plastic bag wrap.All the others were yellowing and placed together into one bag. Some of those had some sticky substance and fingerprints and have a weird smell.This total of five bags was then placed in a thicker ziplock-type pouch which made it look more new and professional.They are the correct size, the typical thickness, and have a decent cut, so I am not returning them, but I thought you all should know.

Not as sturdy as I expected, a lot of paint underneath the stencil. Easy to clean with a nail brush.
