A must for all professional photographers loupe is used for the inspection of negatives and pictures, as well as checking the focus on cameras. It has a high resolution achromatic lens that has been corrected for any chromatic aberration and is adjustable for individual focusing. The wide, square body makes it useful for many high precision, wide field inspection applications. This loupe comes with two bottom skirts (one semitransparent and one black) that can be easily interchanged. The semitransparent skirt is ideal for checking photographic films, and the black skirt is used to check the focus on large format cameras. Focus adjustment is made with a multi-groove screw helicoid system which is the same type that is used for camera lenses. 4X magnification, 1.77" x 1.77" field view. Measures 2" length by 2" width by 2-71/128" height.

I compared this to my Schnieder 4X and it seems every bit as good. I like the square design for my 4x5. although its a bit bulkier than round loupes.The lanyard attach-points seem flimsy, the don't tie on but rather are plastic slide-lock over pins on the loupe. Since its designed to be hanging on your neck, it should never be an issue, but we shall see.Ill use it and see over time, but so far its doing what I want!

Love this piece of equipment helps me with my iphone and more traditional cameras - easy to see screen in bright sunlight..and focus when neccesary

Bought the Peak 4x loupe as a replacement for one I bought years ago. Loved the fact that it showed the complete 35mm slide and and had sufficient magnification to analyze the photo. Highly recommended.

When you take a picture in bright sun it is impossible to see the results without finding a shady place. I looked at several makers of this product, all with a higher price. I was not disappointed with this product. It does magnify the picture which some people don't want but I have found that the magnification allows me to see the sharpness better. It works great for me. The picture shows a white or fogged part of the device which some might think would let in light and defeat the purpose. However, that piece is removable. Haven't quite figured out why someone would use that part but who cares the point is this is a good product for a fair price. Received it in two days.
