Save yourself $35 or $40 and search for Zep brand or other off-brand citrus degreasers. They work great and don't have the excessive "bicycle company mark-up".

I just got tired of buying so many small presentations of this product until I finally found this big one. If you are the type of rider or mechanic that frequently do maintenance to your two wheels, this is the right size for an excellent degreaser. I simply refill some of the old smaller bottles with a spray cap on top for better, simpler use. You can use it with the chain cleaner and on every bike part or component. It works!

Pleased -- cuts grease pretty well, quite pleasant smell I don't mind my hands ending up with. I use a chain-cleaner for ordinary degreasing, road racing bike maintenance, and this works just fine, better than two other comparably advertised products I've used. I usually fill the chain-cleaner twice, to clean the chain until solvent is little soiled -- I mix one part Pedro's and five parts hot tap water or I microwave the jar of mixed solvent before I put it into the chain-cleaner.I used to work summers in a good bike-shop, I'm not patient with products that don't do the job. This degreaser is a lot better to use than varsol was, in the old days (residue on components and hands, plus toxicity), and disposal is easier.

I don't care what this stuff costs, I'll buy it. It is great for getting adhesive off hard surfaces, cleaning grease off of metal parts, scrubbing dirty grease out of carpets and as a pretreatment in the laundry for grease and oil stains. First the Pedro's, then a quick scrub with a bit of liquid Tide and into the washer with the rest of the clothes. If possible, wash on hot with a vigorous setting. While nothing removes every stain, it takes out stains I couldn't get out with anything else. And leaves a nice orange scent when you open the washer after the cycle is done. Don't put this stuff on anything that is going directly into the dryer, it is combustible. You want to wash fabrics immediately after pretreating and rinse off of all non-stainless surfaces and rinse and blot carpets, too. It could possibly harm any surface you leave it on. The price is sort of high, but the gallon jug is cheaper per ounce than the small bottle, if you plan on using it for awhile. Don't forget to keep it tightly closed, because it will evaporate.

Good stuff, and works quite well. Nice to have the larger quantity available to get the price per ounce down.

This product is truly amazing. After every bike ride I use this to clean down my drive chain and the results are amazing. I also dab a little on a rag and wipe down the frame to remove oil/grime without any troubles (always clean it after with Pedro's green to remove any degreaser residue).

The lube melts right off when you put this on your chain ... smells good too! Bargain priced large bottle.
