this is so much smaller than you think its going to be. its more for a parakeet than a parrot. its tiny yall. but it works for the small birds, even a few reptiles that like to perch. we have a mini farm here so i weigh a lot of animals to make sure they maintain, and this does help. i think the advertising pic is way misleading though. otherwise its nice.

Easy to keep track of my parakeet's weight. It's perfect for a small bird, and comes with a paper weight tracker. A significant weight loss can be a sign that your bird is sick and early tests with a vet can save bird's life, parrots tend to hide their sickness until it's too late, so, it's a great thing to have. It shows that my little birdy is 38 grams.

This Pet Scale for Birds is accurate, and measures weight to one tenth of a gram. I tested it with my scale weights. The perch is wood and made solid, birds will have no problems perching on it. The trick is to keep the bird on the perch. It runs on a CR2032 battery, I much prefer it to run on a common inexpensive AAA battery but I won't deduct a star for that.

This showed up much smaller than I expected from the images.The scale seems accurate but the perch is very small.The choice of battery is also a let down. Easily replaceable AA, AAA, or even USB C rechargeable would have been a much better option.

So it's a shame the T-perch isn't bigger, at least for the longer tailed birbs like cockatiels and conures. It is the perfect size for budgies or lovebirds. There is nothing to stop you from inserting your own perch with the same diameter (the base is just a twist-to-lock mechanism that grips the wood dowel) so I will probably make a slightly larger one later.However, the weight measured was consistent whether his tail feathers were dragging on the table or off the edge, so it's not a huge deal as-is. And at this price point I am impressed by how accurate it is. Since cheaper scales don't do a great job of precisely measuring smaller units, I've been weighing them on my wired/plugged-in expensive baking scale. But since you want to weigh them right after their big morning poo for a consistent baseline, having this next to their cages is much more convenient for me.It came with a 3V lithium battery so it was working out of the box and will be much easier to replace than a bunch of little AAAs. The cute little birds on the screen is added bonus.

What a clever way to monitor the weight of your feathered friend. I've had so many birds and I've never had one of these before. This is really cool. It's a great way to monitor the health of your bird.
