The installation was a bit tough on my own. I converted a log lighter pipe to this, and the log lighter required two pipe wrenches and a looooot of muscle to remove. After that, installation wasn’t too bad.Be very careful with the flex hose though. It is a little short and extremely sensitive to bends, resulting in a leak on my first install. I had to buy a slightly longer hose as a result. The hose durability and length is the reason for my 4 star review, but it works great now!

Waited to review after I had a chance to experience it a few times. It is a very nice kit and requires very little to install.

Purchased locally a Peterson Real Fyre burner, logs and remote. After 13 days while turned on it just shut down. Had gas pressure checked and it was in specs. Since then I must relight the pilot (I am near 70, had both knees replaced and do not like crawling on the floor) every few days. Dealer says peterson says they will not replace and so I am complaining to the BBB, filed a question on Peterson's web site, etc. I did not expect a set that goes out randomly, requires a cool down, then re-light, and neither the dealer nor manufaturer will support.

This product is well made and l found it easy to install with accurate instructions. The fire looks great.
