If you know how to read music, this puzzle won't be all that difficult. It will, however, be time-consuming, which is what I most loved about this puzzle. It was always there waiting for me to add 2-3 pieces per 10-minute sitting. Piatnik puzzles have some of the best subject images and are of decent quality, but they could definitely be better (the surfaces are a bit on the shiny side, and I absolutely cannot stand the perforations that stick out of the border pieces). All in all, a satisfying experience!

I bought this puzzle for bday gift for my mum. My aunt said does she hate you haha. This puzzle to mum 2 weeks to do and she didn’t work on it steady. I need to find a tougher one to challenge her. But she enjoyed the puzzle.

Different and difficult to complete - so a real challenge. It’s brilliant and kept me engaged for days

So a group of engineers, musicians and a piano composer worked on this extremely challenging puzzle for 3 days and made great progress but I personally found it to be a tad bit too difficult to offset the joy of connecting a puzzle piece or any accomplishment in sorting or puzzle strategies . Warning this puzzle is not for the average person. I suggest you gift it to only the most advanced puzzle person or better yet to your worst enemy. Note, this is not the opinion of my fellow accomplices in assembling this puzzle. They love it, and found it is obsessing and time consuming.

I gave this to my wife as a birthday gift. She is a musician (oboe, flute, clarinet, french horn) and loves to work on puzzles. She's completed many 1000 piece puzzles before, but none more challenging than this one. She cussed me regularly working on this puzzle, lol, but she still completed it over the course of a week or so.

I have absolutely enjoyed assembling this puzzle! It's a supreme challenge and not for the faint at heart. Having the ability to read music and knowledge of piece placement helped considerably. The thickness of the pieces and the accuracy of both the puzzle pieces and box assisted with the completion of the build. You can find pictures of my build at #UltimatePuzzle on Facebook.

Disclaimer: I have been known to do 1000 piece puzzles in a day. I typically only do 2000 piece puzzles because I go through 1000 piece puzzles so quickly. I got this because it looked like a challenge, which I love to do. It did not disappoint! I actually had to put it up for awhile and do other puzzles because it was insane. I pulled it back out and refused to let it defeat me. This puzzle is awesome! I don't look at the picture on the box or posters when I do puzzles, and I don't sort. This one I was doing all of the above. Not only did I have to sort pieces, I also used the picture on the box to find each piece until I was probably 70% done. What a sense of accomplishment to finish this. Now off to the framer because I'm not taking it apart. Loved this puzzle!
