I bought this for my granddaughter who just completed Navy Boot Camp. This medal is just the right amount of "smallness" and is extremely bright and shiny. She and I have gone to Ireland and seen statues and memorials in honor of St. Brendan and so with her joining the Navy, this medal has special significance. I liked it so much I turned around and ordered one for myself to help remind me of her.
