I made a mistake.I should have bought the genuine Ariens parts, but tried to spend a little less money, because (unlike other online offerings) the picture of these parts looked just like the OEM.The real parts aren't even the same colors.Of much greater importance is the metallurgy, because that is what sets the sheer strength, and therefore the performance of the product. I can't test the metallurgy of the product, and likely neither can you. Therefore, if they can't even get the color right, what do you think the odds are that they duplicated the far more complex (and important) metallurgy?There is a ray of light here, though. Aftermarket companies like this exist , thrive, by making a cheaper imitation of the real thing. That means they very likely have gone cheap here. So, likely, these bolts are cheaper than OEM, therefore softer, and therefore will fail more easily. So, they will break more easily and will save the machine, but will be irritating, because they fail far too often.
