The first number is the size that screws into the lens and the second number is the filter size/mounting thread size.

"46 mm" thread only measures 40 mm. Doesn't fit my 46 mm threaded lens.I would say maybe I received an incorrect part, but 46 mm is printed right on it.

Ich hatte diesen Adapter hier zusammen mit "K&F Concept® 49-58mm Filter Adapterring" gekauft, da es letzteren nicht in der 46mm Größe gab, und ich kann diesen hier genauso wärmstens empfehlen, deshalb hier ne Kopie von der anderen Rezension:Was ich bei anderen Adaptern schon für Horrorgeschichten gelesen habe (lassen sich nicht wieder abschrauben) ist hier alles nicht anzutreffen. Gewinde sind sauber und es lässt sich alles leicht verschrauben und auch wieder lösen, schick sieht’s auch aus. Wo der Vorteil bei den teureren sein soll? Keine Ahnung… Ein Tipp für die ganz vorsichtigen: Mit ‘nem Bleistift das Gewinde entlanggehen, das Graphit eignet sich super als Gleitmittel.

This is a very good quality step-up adapter. It is thinner than some other brands and matt finishing is less slippery. The threading fits perfectly.

was looking for one of these on the high street in the UK to no avail... All the shops these days seem to have none of this sort of gear, only the odd specialist which are few and far between thanks to a certain large retailer! Ordered this and it turned up within a couple of days and at £3 I was very pleased as it allows me to use my vast array of 58mm filters I had lying around from an old Canon 300D...The build quality is superb, a nice lightweight thin alloy and anodized black to match most other filters, it screws tight and does not come loose. A small piece of metal that will save me a fortune in buying new filters for my camcorder.
