This slide is an amazing slide. But it’s a $1.50 3/4” copper pipe slip fitting you can get at any hardware store, that they took the time to deburr the edges and polish. If you just want the slide, this one is worth buying. If you’re handy, you’re gonna be mad you spent the extra money on something you could’ve made at home for a lot less.

It's a slide...it slides. No sharp edges, it is round like a ring only wider. Hard to do the dishes while wearing it but great for when you want to play slide guitar.

Copper is the way to go as recommended by Dan Auerbach! Like to use it on the ring finger.

WAY too light even for a CBG, especially on wound strings. May work better on lighter gauge. For my needs, however, doesn't fly. Super thin and light, and the result is a muffled/buzzy tone on any note above the 7th fret. Tried it with my Strat for kicks and it reminded me of when I was a kid and would try and play slide with a Bic lighter. No Bueno.

"Get thee to a hardware Mongerer" wrote the Bard. Something like that, or was it, "Just see if this item is available in any hardware store". Yea, that's it. It reminds me of when I snaged a few copper nipples from the pipefitting isle. I believe this is used in the fabrication of water lines to transport hot and cold water in the walls or along the basement ceiling in your home. I could be mistaken. The best way would be to take your groovy copper slide to your local Home Depot or Lowe's and a/b it and an inch and a half (1-1/2") copper nipple. Then a/b the two pieces of copper. Too lightweight for my tastes.

The exact size and weight I was looking for to play a 3-string CBG. I added some material to the center to make the slide fit snug on my ring finger.
