Simply set the float valve to your desired height, connect a hose, and turn on the water. The pool leveler will automatically start filling the pool and will shut off when it reaches the desired height. This item is spectacular at what it does, which is keeping you pool filled at whatever level you set. However, the thing leaks no matter what you do to it. This includes leakage at the connections I have to make with hose as well as leakage for connections that came pre-connected from the vendor. I've tried teflon, pipe dope and no amount of tightening will do. Great product but the leak issue is a bummer.

I had to add a couple of elbows since I couldn't find an extention at my local hardware store. This needed to be added since the water level was to high using stock configuration. I also had to use a lot of Teflon tape on the brass nut to plastic inlet to keep water from seeping. All is working well with no leaks. Pretty good deal for the price and what you get. My only suggestion would be to add a longer tube for more water level adjustability so as not to need to go to the hardware store to find an adaptor to add length. Or provide and extra length adaptor should the user need to use it for their application. My photo shows I now have it adjusted for a higher water level but I would still appreciate the option to have more length if needed.

The unit was defective -- parts do not fit properly. A well respected,successful individual who who owns a pool repair business examined the parts, attempted to assemble the thing, and determined that the item was defective. He found the threads to be uneven making it impossible to attach parts and-wrapping with tape did not resolve the additional issue of product leak. The problem is now mine as I have to dissemble the item in order to fit it info the package in which it was shipped=== then it off to UPS.

I bought one of these two years ago and I haven’t had a bit of trouble with it for over a year. I did have to put the hose to it to take some of the mildew out of it one time because it didn’t work properly once I did this. It was right back to bed and as if it was no For the money, I didn’t let me say this I did simplify the connection I use the breast pulled shut off better than which was found to be easier and connected directly to the plumbing itselfProduct wasrevisions very minor have it over a year always turned on never had a problem with it for the money. You won’t find anything cheaper that works this good. so. you’re not gonna find anything any better than this for the money you know it’s like nothing else you take care of something that lasts a long time you know as far as a lot of these reviews go then they give it a one stop because it’s the wrong color they gave it. A one stock of the box was crushed. They gave it a stop because cause I don’t know a damn thing about nothing. I look at some and I disregard them and I look at others and they make sense but this product is well worth the money I bought a spare filler. I guess you would call it and I have never used it. Believe me you’ll find us to be a real great product.
