I know this cot is for camping, but that's not we bought it. I have a service dog and she sleeps in a bed next to me. Her old bed broke and the wife went out and bought her a new one, but got one from wally's world that was very low to the ground. My service dog hated it. refused to sleep in it. I ordered this one, the cost was half of the same one and the place I listed above. Set it up, put her blanket on it and with in a minute she on on it and asleep. It's well made and strong much stronger than her original one. You will need a bit of strength to put the ends on, especially once you have the other end on, the last hole in the horizontal bar is a rough one to get, but you want it that way. I needed someone to help me. I could not do it alone

It warns in "about this item" this cot will need time to be stretched after first assembly. Partially assembled I added plenty of weight to the cot for over 36 hours. Still had to drill a 1/2 inch hole in each of the tension bars to complete full assembly. Haven't had a chance to use it yet.
