The plate design features a unique beveled edge with designated grip locations that form a polygon design. The beveled edge keeps the weighted barbell from rolling away while not in use. The grip locations allow you to use the plates as free weights or to customize the weight of your barbell. The inner stainless steel ring increases the overall durability of the plates while allowing for quick and easy transitions on and off the bar. One set features six durable urethane plates (pair of 2.5, 5 and 10 lbs.), a 51 inch powder-coated steel 5 lb. bar, and a pair of 1.25" spring collars. Sold as individual components, one set and class sets.

I bought these thinking that they would be faster to change out than the standard PowerSystem clamps. They are not faster -- they would be if they weren't so cheap as to not give the squeezers more length so you had more mechanical advantage. On top of everything, they scratch your bar when you use them.

Read the specs carefully. The 1.2 inch diameter means the bar is too big to fit your old 1 inch plates.It will cost you over $30 dollars to return the bar.

The bar itself is good because it was the weight and length I was looking for. I’ll give 4 stars cause it’s very sturdy.The problem is when I attempted to place my individual weights on the end none of them would fit! The bar is too fat! I didn’t realize my old metal weights wouldn’t fit. In this time of the pandemic I’m disappointed to say the least. My fault cause I thought all bars fit all weight plates .. I’m hoping the gyms will reopen soon otherwise I’ll be on the hunt for old plastic plates? Maybe those would fit!
