OK, maybe they're not Weathertec top of the line....but they do the job and they're a perfect fit for my 25 Ascent....and beats paying the price for the official OEM Subaru mats. And don't worry about the "stinky mat" smell that you hear about on TV. My one week old Ascent still smells like the factory in Indiana. Velcro is a little tricky to line up exactly, but one they are, it's a solid hold. No regrets.

This pair of second row Subaru Ascent captains chair seatbacks are pretty thin plastic that’s flexible but appear to be quite rugged. They fit the shape of the factory seats felt back very well and the visible side pattern matches that of OEM utility mats and cargo area. They attach as an exact fit thanks to embedded pre-glued in place hook Velcro type strips on the non-visible side that surround near outside edge and around back cutout.This item variant is for 2019-2024 (current year) Subaru Ascent SUV Premium trim with Captain Chairs option or the Touring trim that only comes with 7 seats. It’s not the right option if your send row is the 60/40 bench 8 seat Ascent.Once aligned they anxiously grip the felt-rug material and don’t slip or fall off regardless if seats vertical or folded flat. The outer edge has slight bevel so not likely to catch when sliding item seats folded. Being a plastic vs rubber based, they don’t scuff or get gouged easily by routine suburban use. I don’t haul rolls of barbed wire so I can’t attest to severe abrasion resistance. What I can say is they complete the set of OEM mats and cargo protection that came on our new to us 2021 Touring Ascent.Adds class, bit pricey but I’d buy again, no headrest string support required, hooks grab well until peeled off but once installed, no need to ever remove them.

Well they do fit! They are easy to put on and seems like they will protect what is needed! I needed something to help protect my car from my dogs while traveling. The bigger mat is on the bottom and the chair back mat flap on the bottom is sitting on top if it. Not sure thats correct or not. The stock photo is not how mine looks. Kind of confusing. They will still do what I need.

These arrive folded up rather than rolled, so it will take a little bit of time for the creases to ease and for the middle of the trunk portion to flatten out completely. They follow the contours and the cut outs perfectly match items on the back of the seats. For the trunk, unfold it and slide it into place. If you have the large audio speaker on the back right side of the trunk there's a little flap that you will want to cut off so that the speaker is not obscured. For the seat backs there are thin lines of velcro around the perimeter and around the cutouts. Once you set it in place it will stay there when the seat back is upright. There is a flap that will cover any gaps between the seat and the trunk, and I ended up putting it under the trunk portion for a cleaner look. It also means that if I put the seat down and push forward I'm not worried about catching on that flap.All in all, it provides the extra protection I've been looking for.
