This definitely protects your RC remote inside your bag, specially the screen and the joystick installed. However, it does make it a little bulky. So it might get a little tight on your custom molded drone bag.Some notable things to consider are the antennas does rest right up against it, but still folds flat. It is a little tight to open cause it has two rubber foams on the sides to keep the cover in place, but just takes getting used to. Jus hold the top hinge when flipping open the cover.As far as a sun visor, it helps but only a little. Probably need a dedicated hood to properly block the sun glare but this does help if nothing else. I mean it beats trying to cover the sun glare with your other hand when flying your drone.
