Wasted money this trap gets more crabs inside than shrimp and the crabs eat them maybe they should call it a crab trap instead of shrimp trap

Out of 4 traps we set we rarely get more than 4 prawns in this trap as the spaces are so large they crawl out before being pulled to the surface. Now granted the 4 left are a good size and can't get out, but when the traps around it are bringing in 100 at a time it is hardly worth it.

Bought 4 pots. Even though shrimp season is over here in the HOOD CANAL couldn't pass on the price. At first look, I realized the mesh is made of thinner wire than I thought. I would pay xtra for stainless steel 10 gauge mesh pot. Does it even exist? The description says weight is 2.27 kilos which equates to about 5lb. Uh I think its a little short. Will be adding weight to the corners to make sure it stays down. Not a deal breaker just hope the mesh holds from the pot puller "yank" I'll be giving it next year. For those reading reviews of the "string" holding one of the tunnels to the frame, again for those of us living in Washington state know the tree huggers here give all living things a chance as the string is A ROT CORD. This allows the tunnel to break free over time and free the enslaved shrimp if you lose your pot.I will update next MAY 2022 and give you all the 411 on how these work. GO HAWKS!!!!!

Cage catches more crabs then shrimp! Definitely not good to use in waters that have crabs.

I've fished mine twice since receiving them. Love the big holes let's the little one go as it comes up. They catch spot prawn good.

Excellent build quality. You need pretty big shrimp as the mesh size is large- go big or go home! Good product.

seems to be well made - I like the built in bait box - I just splashed it yesterday, so we will have to see how it fishes

I've compared several traps and this one definitely is one of the better ones out there for the beginning or novice shrimper.
