  • Yes. All posts with rot protection applied to them can be installed with concrete post mix, fence post foam and can also be power driven into the ground without issue.

  • Rot protectors create an air and watertight seal around the critical first 6" below ground. This dual-layer rot protection seal system excludes all the factors required for decay to occur (oxygen, fungi and moisture), guaranteeing against rot.

  • Our confidence comes from our zero failure, 20-year independent field test data conducted by the BRE, Europe's largest and leading timber test organisation.

  • You need a high-powered (2+ KW) heat gun or a gas blow torch with a non pencil-tip flame. If applying rot protectors to a square post, you'll also need a foam roller to ensure adhesion to the flat sides of the post.

  • Below the first 6 inches in the ground, there is not enough oxygen for the fungi required for decay to survive; this means there is no need to protect the post below this point.

Have it 5 stars because it came with clear instructions— I used a hair blow dryer to shrink wrap it around my poles, as it is all I had.

I installed these sleeves on 4 posts. I messed the first one due to my inexperience. Make sure to apply the torch from far (12-16" away) and don't stop on one spot, keep the flame moving as if you were using a paint sprayer.It melts fast. After the first try the rest is easy to install.I hope it gives a good protection for 20-30 years at least. I'll probably won't be around by then to confirm, though. 😄Although the instructions recommend to wrap just part of it, I went the extra mile (and money) and wrapped the entire buried area. Why not.From now on I'll use these sleeves for any project where lumber is buried✌️✌️
