It would work great. It tucks the cam right up against the review mirror providing a better look and wider video but the cord hanging straight down is mildly annoying. Also it does not fit my PRUVEEO Dash Cam, the piece that connect the cam the the bracket is not correct.

This device would be great if it was properly designed. It doesn't hang low enough below the mirror. My dash cam mounts on the back of the camera, smack dab in the middle of the back. So I need about 2.5-3 inches minimum clearance between the mirror and the camera. This device only drops about 1/2 an inch below the mirror so while it would probably work if my camera had a top mount, there isn't any way to make it work for a camera that requires more clearance.I even tried using the longer bolts to make it drop further but then it isn't secure against the arm of my mirror so it bounces around constantly and makes for not only a very shaky video but a camera that falls off constantly. It did come with an attachment piece that fits my camera but it isn't a tight fit so even after mounting and trying to figure out a way to make it work, it is impossible because I can't angle the arm downward at all because then the camera falls off the mount. If you are fortunate enough to have a camera with a top mount then this could be great. Otherwise, I'd suggest finding another solution. The suction cup that came with my camera doesn't stick to my window in temperatures above 75 which is 90% of the year where I live so I really wanted this to work but I think I am going to just build my own mount at this point.

It fits my Garmin. And it fits in the rearview mirror stem of my 2011 RAV4. The clamp opens and adjusts to any size and comes with a bunch of different mounting hardware. It will likely work for you.

Perfect, out of the way, sturdy, easy to use. May need a second person to fix it in place in the car.

June 23, 2019I don't typically comment on most of the things I get, but this is one of the few things I am going to. Comparing this to suction cups, true, for me at least, I myself have found this itema to be a slight challenge to get on to a mirror that your supposed to, but, once you get it onto a mirror, you don't have to worry about it falling off in either the summer heat, or the winter cold as I've some reason had with the cold, with suction cups. With suction cups, you do have the quickness and versitility of a suction cup, but as I've mentioned above, you end up with problems once it gets hot enough on your windshield with suction cups, and I don't know if I am the only one who has had this problem with suction cups, or if it was just something defective with the suction cup or if the suction cup and/or the windshield was dirty, I had problems with suction cups in the cold of winter as well. This mirror mount takes care of that problem. Plus it puts your device that you want to mount to your mirror mount more out of the way of your periferal view out the window so you can see more. Also, I liked this so much (on the side note of it being a bit of a pain getting on and off), I got 2 of them. Plus, you don't get the ring mark on your window with the mirror mount as you get with suction cups.November 12, 2019Ok, my original review is still pretty much the case, I still have the 2 mirror mounts. As for my original review, what I was talking about, as I mentioned, I don't know if it was was just the suction cups that the devices that I had, or the windshield, or winter/summer, or all of them or what, but the suction cups to the devices I would use, especially my GPS would just about always fall off, especially in the winter. Not nessesarily 24/7 always, but the case of the suction cup falling off would still be the case. And the idea of what I meantioned about the mirror mount being a bit hard to get on and off being a pain in the rear is still a bit of a case, but it's not as much when your in the passengers seat then when your doing it in the driver's seat. The idea of it being a fantastic product once you get the product on the mirror is still pretty true, however, I use the mirror mount with dash cams, and I often find myself having to put the dash cam back on due to the dash cam falling off. I'm not sure why that is though, it might be because the design of the dash cam itself, not too much of the mirror mount, but who knows.2/16/21Ok, so, I still have the 2 mirror mounts that I mentioned in my other part if this review, but, I got 2 more mirror mounts due to me upgrading to 4k, and me not being able to find a single 4k dual lense dash cam that can record in full 4k. The other 2 serve as something to put in other vehicles that I jump into on occasion, or if I end up needing to record something for my YouTube channel(s). Anyway, since the start of the year (2021) to when I'm typing this, we've had a several days (some consecutive) where it's gone down into the teens and sometimes into the singles or negative numbers farenheit, and, the mirror mounts held on proudly.8/14/21Ok, so, what I was talking about in the 6/23/19 review in the initial part of the review of how I typically don't comment on most things I get, what I meant is that up to this review, I never reviewed anything. As for what I've said in this review about the mirror mount, and it staying up even though some suction cups would have fallen off in the summer heat or winter cold, well, I live in the northern hemisphere, in New York state (notice I said state, not city, there's a difference), and, I've had instances where it may have gotten into the teens farenheit or maybe colder, and mother nature pulled a few quick ones where there's been frost on the inside of my windshield, although I wonder if that is due to me bringing home a soda from my workplace, or If that's just coincidence from the soda and somehow enough condensation got on my windshield overnight and turned to frost on my windshield, I don't know. I do have a car window cover that goes on the outside of the car itself. But, for the mirror mount, I have had my own car since June of 2020, and this product has done a farily good job over the year plus. I forget when I did, but, I think it may have been before may of 2020, it could have been early 2019, although I think by that time I only had 2 of these mirror mouts due to me only having only one dash cam that had 2 camera's, but, I think it was early last year (2020) that I bought a 2nd pair due to me getting 2 4k campark go pros and using them for my YouTube channel or just for a dash cam.

This kit is superior to one I ordered in the past because it comes with multiple attachments for many devices. i found one that fit my dash camera perfectly but If I ever decide to upgrade my camera, I will probably have the right attachment for the new one as well. I Also like he fact that it is plastic construction because it doesn't mark my mirror like the metal one I had on my last car. It is short, so the camera mounts very close to my mirror which helps with viability in my Tacoma. I am using this kit with a hardwired kit so my camera is never in the way or unplugged. It is a very clean installation.

In FL, they have a weird law -- if you attach anything to the windshield, you can get a ticket for having something that obstructs your view (of course they except the actual rear-view mirror!). They based this on trying to eliminate radar detectors. So, I place my radar detector on my dash, and I used this for the camera because it mounts directly to the rear view mirror mount. It holds well, comes with attachments to connect a lot of things. Has been working great for the last months without issue -- and not connected to my front windshield. Easy to install. Supplier got it here ahead of schedule -- so excellent delivery service and great price! (Suction power does not apply in that it is a 'clamp' type mount to the mirror mount)

The installation was a little tricky to get the rubberized strip wrapped around the stemp of the mirror. I had to raised my seat to the max and push it all the way forward to install this. But once it’s in, i can tighten it and the camera is adjustable. I was able to easily tuck the cable behind the vanity mirror and on the side of the window with ease. The cable runs across the glove compartment and I usually caution front passengers about it before getting in.This is a decent product, the only hassle is the installation, and I suggest getting someone to help hold the strip in place before tightening it. But once you get pass it, you’ll no longer need to temper with a suction cup. It stays a fix very well, and can take bumps in pot holes or off-roading.

Good idea but next to impossible to install. You need 3 or 4 hands to hold it while trying to screw it together. No instructions included.
