While installing and adjusting the replacement cables on my Tundra the plastic coating ripped along the length of the tailgate side. The original cable was damaged but the coating was intact after 12 years so this replacement part is junk.

Better quality than OEM. Super easy to install, even with a multi tool. Recommend swapping both sides out at the same time, in case of the old ones stretching ever so slightly.

Some of these supports being sold have a length of 17 15/16 inches and reviewers stated they were too long. I was hoping because these are being sold as 17 3/4 inches they would keep the tailgate level but they don't. Too long.
